Sickness
alright. I went to an amusement park and went on this ride called "The Monster" and i thought it would be nothing. Now getting on and riding it took on a new meaning. There were these four rotating cars that spun on this claw/arm that spun around up and down. That made me sick for the rest of the day until now. Im sitting here and i feel like im in a wave pool. blech.

Re: Sickness
I went to Six Flags once and I had to wait an hour to get on Deja Vu because 3 different people puked three different times.
I can see how the spinny rides would do that, though. >_> |

Re: Sickness
LOL At the annual carnival that goes on in my town, they have this octopus thing, similar to that, that I rode and almost puked. Now that would be so much worse.

Re: Sickness
Frequent viewings of Final Destination 3 really stopped me from going on rollercoasters FOREVER. It's not the fear of death, it's just the fear of dying in such a messy way...
...ahem. But before that no rides used to make me sick. Even the teacups <_<

Spinout
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msGL5q7bEg4 It's one of the gnarliest most awesome carnival ride ever. My friend threw up midway through the ride, luckily I was to the right of him. My friend to the left of him wasn't so lucky. Last edited by jewpinthethird; 07-13-2007 at 02:04 PM.. |

Re: Sickness
That one doesn't look like it would be too bad for me, since you're really only spinning in one direction at a time. The octopus-style rides have a spinning car, on a spinning arm on a spinning body and its the combination of forces making you all sloshy that does me in. Roller coasters are cake, and you can lift me up, drop me, or even spin me around, it's really only being moved in several directions at once that I can't handle.

Re: Sickness
I agree, the tea-cups have a spinning platform, a spinning individual platform, and the cup itself spins. That's what does me in.

Re: Sickness
We have this at our Valleyfair amusement park here in Minnesota too, although here it's called "The Spider" or some crap I think. It's not that bad.
The only ride that has ever made me sick and afraid to go on again is this son of a bitch rotates in a horizontal, circular motion. I don't understand why but this ride just gets me. ps that's the screaming yellow eagle at camp snoopy in mall of america. Good times at that park. |
