Default Azumanga dAIOU

My family loved Azumanga Daiou. Anyone have recommendations as in anything similar to the style of anime you know of?

Azumanga Daioh.*

It's a comedy about six girls and their three years in high school (?) preparing for college.

Also, I'm pretty sure I said posts that just ask "what's ___?" are against the rules, folks. You're on a forum, not a chat room, so take the time to look things up.

It actually doesn't matter if you spell it "Daioh" or "Daiou". Both are correct romanizations of the Japanese word 大王. Actually, the more common way to do it would be "daiou".

But yeah, due to the way it was licensed most Americans will spell it "Daioh".

PEOPLE HAVEN'T HEARD OF AZUMANGA DAIOU?!? ........Sorry, my favorite anime.

As for similar styles, perhaps something like High School Girls, Mahou Sensei Negima, Koi Koi 7, etc etc. You don't find many animes that center around a group of girls anymore. Now they add at LEAST one boy, like in Love Hina, Negima, and all that.

EDIT: Now that I thought about it, Pani Poni Dash is also a good one similar to Azumanga. Except the 10 year old is the teacher. O_O

"Ichigo Mashimaro" is pretty much the same style and executes the slice of life genre pretty well, I really enjoyed it... you'll have to get it fan-subbed though if you want to watch the anime, I think

Lucky Star, School Rumble. If you are jap, why do even ask here? seems backwards, heh. Unless you are the american jap that can talk but is illiterate.

and yeah Daiou is correct.
