Re: TWG XLVII Host Voting
28 half dozen hours later
This is a zombie themed game with one major mechanic change: the zombie's victims (aka nightly wolfings) are turned into zombies upon being attacked instead of being killed. Consequently so, the humans will need to work at using their preventative measures very accurately to avoid being over-run. 16 Players: Team Evil (2): 1 plague progenitor 1 first infected Team Good (14 at start): X scientists X SWAT members 1 plague progeny X humans Plague Progenitor: The original carrier of the plague. This person is classified as a zombie, although they have never actually been bitten. Tests on their DNA may return false and any fatal injuries they suffer may cause them to counter-mutate back into a conscious human being, essentially freeing them from the collective mind the zombie's seem to possess. First Infected: This is a typical zombie. They just happen to be special in the fact that they are the first bite victim (and consequently the first sign of an outbreak). The Night 1 attack will be carried out by this zombie (see below). Scientist: The hard working men and women of the government that are determined to stop the outbreak and possibly even cure the plague itself. Each night they will preform their own variant of research and lab tests and may prove useful in slowing down or stopping the virus. SWAT Member: Contracted by the government to stand guard at person's homes over the course of the night. They are heavily armed and authorized to open fire in the event of a zombie attack. Their body armor is a military issued standard, but it's not yet known exactly how, or how easily, the virus spreads. Repeated zombie encounters may have unwanted side effects. Plague Progeny: This person is a human that managed to contract a variant of the virus and yet resist the mutation process. Tests on their DNA are likely to return positive even though they are human and show no signs of mutation. Any fatal injuries they suffer are likely to trigger chemical reactions mutating their DNA into something similar to the more typical zombie. Game Mechanics, Ideas, etc: As you may notice, turning a human into a zombie each night is a very, very large advantage, and appropriately so, the humans will have ample ability to combat this threat. The exact number of some roles, the entire existence of unknown roles, and perhaps even the exact function of the roles may be unknown to the thread and possibly even the role itself, but I've done my best to give the humans what I feel is enough options to combat the growing numbers. This is still a TWG, and you will still need to lynch at least a few zombies to come close to winning. Secondly, for anyone that may recall my other games, this game will be in a similar flavor, that is, anything that I can apply actual real-world logic to may be free game in the turn of events. That is to say, you are real people performing these actions in this fictitious setting, and things may never be as simple as sending a PM and waiting safely for your response. For example, a specific zombie will be making each nightly attack, as opposed to an arbitrary zombie PM that magically kills someone. As always, I will answer any questions the best that I can within the confines of the information I have to restrain, but past players may tell you that their inquisitiveness and attention to the game has led them to a greater understanding of how the game works. I encourage people to think independently and be interested, active participants in this TWG experience. Lastly, as you may have noticed from the hints above, it may be very possible for players from either side to come back to life and even change teams. Again, it may be more than possible for a zombie (aka wolf) to turn back into a human. Appropriately so, it would be a terrible idea to have every zombie know every bit of information the zombie's have, so I have devised a highly suggested method of distributing information among the zombies. Each night when the zombies attack, the most newly turned zombie will be in charge of risking their life in the attack, call it the zombie pecking order. This means in the very minimum, each zombie will see the person that turned them and the person they successfully turn. It is my highly suggested opinion that information be passed down this chain of command and decisions be made accordingly when considering letting any one zombie know too much. Likewise, humans may need to employ their own information restriction strategies, but this is typical TWG fare and can be done in any way you see fit. This game may end up feeling like it relies a bit more on role usage than normal. Thus, I may try to squeeze in a bit of a smaller deadline window than is typical, but that all depends on my ability to be on my computer for hours in a row prepping story and PMs and what-not. As per my other games, expect vague story-filled PMs that contain everything you need in a slightly more obtuse manner than you're used to. Again, questions will be answered for those who care enough to ask them. Enjoy.

Game sounds awesome. Also I would like to suggest a point to be added to the world in your sig. Here's why: The lynch of roundbox has triggered a special affect which eliminated sertman. (kilga's tohou game) which ended the game, even though sertman was a confirmed mason.

When that iteration of the Crazy Ivan is lynched, the response kill is completely random. roundbox had zero control. The humans just got shit unlucky.

stoic because I don't see any ideas that could be presented to stand up to the awesomeness of that.

Re: TWG XLVII Host Voting
giving the world a point ruins the joke, though.
the joke is "it's sertman vs the world". if the world is gaining on me then it's unfunny. and beating the joke into the ground, which is what you're doing, also makes it unfunny.
