Default FFX vs. FFXII graphics.

Both Final Fantasies have great graphics during cinemas. The Aeon interface was well thought out as is the AI for the summons in 12. I want to know your oppinion on the two games cinema graphics wise. Likes and dislikes about gameplay, characters, environments, anything.

I personally think they are about equal graphics wise, but the voices are too similar between Tidus and Vaan. That's my only dislike. The gameplay and concepts are great in each.

You're a moron. Obviously 12's graphics would be better than 10's because they were released four ****ing years apart.

In closing kill yourself.

FF12 was a better game in almost every way, graphics included. FF10 was a really good game, though.

I hate the newer ones past X.
I like turnbased. Not no stupid walking around and doing nothing and looking stupid during battle.

I agree very much so with your opinion. And although some people consider FFXII turn-based, it just isn't even CLOSE to the kind I want. I don't even want active turn-based. I like the way FFX was done, and I'll make an exception for FFIX because I just liked it in its superiority. I've played every game past(but including) FFVII, and those are the only two in which I have liked thus far.

FFXII is still 50/50 though, because I haven't gotten far enough to determine it bad in my eyes yet.

Yeah, some of the most amazing games have easily guessable storylines that may twist a few times. Don't people notice how the best TV shows are the ones without any real point? I know we're talking about video games, but that still brings up the same point. Does Grand Theft Auto have much of a story? No. Halo? No. Disgaea? Not really. I mean yes, it has a nice storyline, but it's very easy to follow and not even somewhat complicated.

Not really. It was very easy to follow and know where to go / what to do. Up until you get the airship, then you just explore everywhere and still know roughly where to go. Not very difficult.

I haven't played FFXII, but FFX was decent. I've played every single FF apart from VIII and IX, not including the handhelds such as FFT. I've completed them all too, fun games.

FFX was more fun for me and I liked the story more than XII's.

Definitley the latter.

Did you just say that Halo's storyline is better than Disgaea?

Serious fail. Halo's storyline is your run-of-the-mill science fiction story. Nothing new or fresh to the plate. Disgaea is something new and wacky. It's a good story and game overall.

You guys might like using one hand to pick attacks off of a menu, but FFXII is just what the RPG Doctor ordered. Better graphics, WAY better story, awesome gameplay, and you got a 50/50.

80% of the game is that. Then the other 20% is the following:

Do A to get ultimate weapon
Do B + C to get upgrades for ultimate weapon
x 7

Do D to obtain ultimate weapon.

Capture all the monsters.
Kill all the monsters.
Get to level 99 in blitzball.

So really, the last 20% are all that pull the game up even more.

Ten really bummed me out because for some reason, I loved 9 and was expecting another open ended game like that.

I don't think I finished X, but I watched my brother play it. The same thing happened with Metal Gear 2 - I couldn't really bring myself to play it, but enjoyed watching it be played. If that makes any sense.

I know what you mean. I would always like watching my friend play MGS2, but when I played it myself I didn't enjoy it as much as watching it. I still don't know why I liked watching it more then playing it, because I seemed to enjoy playing MGS3 a great deal more then watching it. It just wasn't that way for MGS2.

They're several games I enjoy watching more then playing.

Heres the deal, Final Fantasy XII may have had superior graphics with more realistic personalities for the characters, but it didnt contribute much the the "fantasy" feel of the franchise much like FFVII. I personally liked the STYLE of graphics used in FFX more than that used in FFXII merely because FFXII seemed to feel kind of bleak with all of the deserts and such. Also, i really think they chose the two worst games to do a sequel for (as much as i enjoyed Advent children over Spirits within). Interesting story, my friend having just beat FFIX in 6th and 7th grade almost 5 years ago started writing a book about what happened after FFIX. Even at that age i felt he did a decent job writing it but since then i moved away and do not know if he finished it.
Back on subject, complicated storylines only work out in certain circumstances and fail in most situations. I really liked FFIX in the fact that the simplicity for the first little bit was so entertaining that you wanted to keep playing for the pure fun of it. However as you progressed through the game it slowly but gradually grew a little bit more complicated and it still had you wrapped in the story to where you really wanted to finish it. As simple as it started out, it had many suprises along perfectly placed throughout the story. In comparison to FFXII it is superior in that in 12 you are instantly thrown into a complicated world of chaos and war. You start out having absolutely no idea whats going on and only later (assuming you like the gameplay enough to continue which most people did) would you understand the storyline and go on ahead. A lot of the game talks about past events that happened before the time you started playing whereas FFIX started somewhere and the storyline progressed and was explain while they happened with some background information.
