High School Fashion
So today in school I wore a nice (187$) pair of Men's 7 Jeans and a lucky tee-shirt... I was ridiculed to no end by kids probably like a lot of the male posters here on this forum. So I ask.. what is the problem with a straight male dressing in designer or just incredibly preppy clothing? Why does this make me gay if i like to look good?

Re: High School Fashion
The fact that you wrote 187$ and not $187.

Haha, sucks to your ass-mar. At my school I can wear anything, I've gone to school in suits and didn't get hassled one bit. The fanciest thing I usually wear is a polo shirt. Maybe they're jealous of your mad dressing skillz. Easiest solution, stop wearing clothes.

You shouldn't be ridiculed for being gay or anything (sockwars); you should be ridiculed for wasting money like that. I can't imagine in any way why jeans should cost $187. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

Re: High School Fashion
Guido, obviously you've never looked at women's clothing. Outside of Ross or Target, most women's jeans cost upwards of $50, with some of them coming in at $250, $300...It's INSANE. This is why I buy 85% of my clothes at second-hand stores or at the aforementioned Ross.
(After spending $4 or $5 on a pair of pants in Ventura, BTW, even $15 for a pair of pants at Ross seems like a ripoff.) My mother and my aunts, for example, own pants that cost more than some of my computer equipment. Which is absolutely retarded, yes. In short, guys who wear expensive clothes should be ridiculed for spending all that money just like Guido said, but so should girls, and maybe someday we'll all have affordable pants.

I searched these $187 jeans.. and they aren't that special. My jeans from Kohls look just as nice, and were $14.99 on sale.

All about dat AZ Jeans 4rm JC Penny, yeah yeah!
There's this guy at school who thinks he's rich just because he wears preppy clothes. He is an asshole. He will go on with the same joke for from 10 minutes to 3 months. Todays "funny saying" was putting down Jesus as the answer on standardized tests. It's just as annoying as the O RLY? and Chuck Norris fads. I think I'm going to punch him or something. |

Re: High School Fashion
I have these checkered pants that go with my school uniform for cullinary.
14.99 and no one can laugh cause they know we'll spit in their food I don't wear jeans, I usually do kakis, and at kohl's $10 on sales. You should be ridiculed for buying $187 jeans. That's just retarded. The worst thing: jeans with holes already in them (cough abercrombie) Pay me $40 to tear holes in your levi's, I can do the same job. I can also sew in the abercrombie logo :P |

Re: High School Fashion
Oh **** don't even get me started about those jeans with rips in them. Seriously every girl I see wearing those I ridicule. Why? Because most of the rips are about knee high, thus I assume they must suck ALOT of cock to wear holes right through to their knees.
Then I call them preppy wannabe emo bitches. Cause they are. |

Re: High School Fashion
Hmm well, the most I've ever spent on jeans was $90 canadian... so that rings into be what? 70ish american? Maybe more maybe less, I can't do the math.
But uh, for the most part, people who ridicule you on what you wear are probably insecure. $187 is a ridiculous sum though =\ And not to sound like a prick, but this thread sounds more like a "I CAN'T HELP IT IF I DRESS NICER THAN YOU" brag than an honest complaint.

Re: High School Fashion
I have a $150 pair of pants... but they're dress pants and I wear them only when doing super fancy stuff and don't want to wear a suit, and I've had them for 4 years now. Most of my dress pants are just khaki...
My jeans though, are in the $20-$50 range. They're nice looking, comfortable, and last 3-4 years.... even if I now have holes in my ass and bobby pins in one pant leg to keep it together. Holes in jeans are fine, so long as they are natural and not in retarded places like the knee. The hole in my ass is the most awesome thing ever, mostly because I'm not sure how I got so much wear in that area. So, yea... there is absoultely NO reason for ANY kid to wear uber expensive clothes to school. Unless you go to school in Beverly Hills or something. I wore jeans and an undershirt almost every day in HS, and rather often through 4 years of college (not to mention a baseball cap for all 4 years of college).

Re: High School Fashion
A couple pairs of my pants have holes on the crotch seam because the stupid girls at school/on the street won't ever stop rubbing it.

Re: High School Fashion
I own two pairs of jeans and i didn't pay anything for either of them.
One's old and is full of holes, mainly around low crotch seam and around back pockets. And the other pair is a semi-new pair i recived "hand-me-down" from my uncle figure. With cuts along seams on the bottom of the legs, a few inches up

I mean, pants. Like, people wear t-shirts and leggings and go out in public.
I can tolerate leggings under skirts. |

Re: High School Fashion
Would it bother you guys if I told you I wear underwear made of solid gold?
Honestly though, I hate clothes. You can't help but to make a statement no matter what you are wearing. Cheers, Synthlight |
