RE: Re: RE: oh noes
How long do you need to hold your permit, 9 months?

RE: Re: RE: oh noes
You can get permit at 16 and have to hold it for half a year and pass driving school I think but im not sure.

RE: Re: RE: oh noes
That's what it is for NY. Permit for 9 months at 16, then when your 17 you can get your junior license, in which you can only go to certain places and have a curfew of 9. 6 months pass and then you have your senior.
15 is a strange year, much like 14, nothing exciting happens on either of them. Enjoy. |

RE: Re: RE: oh noes
I turned fifteen on my second day of Driver's Ed. I finished that and held my permit until sixteen, when I got my full-fledged license.
Now there's all sorts of confusion here because they changed the laws and my friends who are one or two years younger got grandfathered out of the new system but there was still some change for them. I'm not sure how it works now. Nor do I really care. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

When you are 14, you are no longer 13, and we all know 13 is LAME. Its too close to 12.

RE: Re: RE: oh noes
Here in Virginia, you can get your learners pernit at 15 1/2 years old. Then you have to wait 9 months and you can get it at 16 + 3 months. Oh, and you have to take A behind the wheel class. And the in school class.

RE: Re: oh noes
CA is 15 1/2, then learners permit for atleast 6 months, then you get a provisional license till 18, which is a full license, except you can't transport other under 18 people that are not family. That way the situation in the car of the new drivers stays more under control.
