That's the number 1 reason I do not go to anime conventions. Those people SCARE ME.

Other than that, I'd love to go. Anime is awesome. Those that ruin it make it seem less awesome.

Don't get me wrong, some people can cosplay right. Like my friend. She does awesome Naruto outfits for herself. I have no idea what she's going to do for some of this year's conventions.

There weren't that many people and those who did dress up were dreessed up as naruto. Overfall it was pretty sweet. Some crazy person spilt pepsi on me though

Often times, people cosplay as characters who's designs are simply out of this world, so it comes out really poorly.

If I did cosplay ever, I'd be Yamazaki. All I'd have to do is get a black vest and die my hair and learn how to grin like a madman.

Hah I got to see people cosplay just yesterday at school, because it was the last day of school before Halloween. 3 girls dressed up as Yuna Rikku and Lulu...the Yuna costume was done really well....agh... On the other hand...the multiple Squalls walking around with tinfoil gunblades was pathetic >_<

Got to love anime. It's fun to see people try to replicate drawn costumes. Keyword: try. There are some that do succeed very successfully though.

I dressed up as Naota from FLCL today.
it was the last day, blahdy blahdy blah Halloween thing
anyway I just threw on a light blue sweater, cut some
gauze into a square and taped it to my forehead.
Only onew or two people actually thought I was in costume,
everyone else thinks I just hit my head.

Oh, and there was an awsome Balck Mage at the skool too

Was okay I guess. Rikku costume wasn't that great. it was the ffx costume... not the gambler from ffx-2. a plain orange tanktop and shorts would've done the trick really... the Gambler costume would've been rather...slutty...*pukes*

Aside from the fact that I have no idea what on earth Cosplay is, I'm just going to say that as long as you don't do anything foolish, and let people know you don't want to die, that you're not gonna die ('tis the rule when it comes to just about any roleplay. Use good grammar and don't act like you know it all and you'll be fine). I'm assuming Cosplay is some kind of RPG, right?

Edit: Oops, so much for my mind. Meh, don't worry about being killed. Chances are that, as long as your costume isn't the exact same as someone elses that you'll be fine.
(can't believe I didn't know what cosplay was, especially when I'm going to get Squall's jacket from FF8).
