i don't like Arch's hard-on for non-4 finger basis... just because he chooses to play index, the poll on this site proved that most people play with at least 3 fingers. so IMO... boo hoo on Arch, if you don't like it that people make hard files... change to 4 fingers! the only want to make really hard files for index is trills, very very fast streams, or jacks... so this is what his contest will be filled of, cause no one is going to want to make a 4 finger song. kilga does the best job IMO, since he plays 1-handed... but he still makes very hard files all around. props to kilga. to arch.

My song is 2:10. If I am gonna enter it.

I have to revise gap and steps a little, though.

Arch'll hate it--it's kinda one-handed. But fun for me. ^____^.

Tasselfoot play indexes and actually be good at them before you post something so misinformed like that thanks.

There are many ways to make an index file hard, and there's lots you can do with jumps. All of my files on my site I can SDG or AAA on indexes, sans Oi Punk. I don't really think you have any clue what an "index file" is. AN INDEX FILE IS NOT QUASAR, QUASAR IS ONE GIGANTIC STREAM WITH NEXT TO NO TURNS.

aperson could explain this a lot better than I could, because he knows what I'm talking about and plays both four fingers and indexes =\

and this is the *removed* keyboard competition not the tasselfoot.com keyboard competition so will I deal with that crap in my hood NOPE.

You seem to have a logic problem.

All index stepfiles are playable with a 4 finger style
Not all 4 finger files are playable with index.

How do you appeal to the largest audience? Figure it out, Aristotle.

any stepfile is playable any style.... most stepfiles just have bias one way or another. i can pass Index Practice with 4 fingers, but not with Index cause i don't play that way... but that isn't the point. when i think an index stepfile, i think trills. 24 and 68 trills are much harder using 1 hand than using indexes. your competition will have most, if not all, of the top stepfile makes submitting files.... i just would hate to see most of them be not as good as they could be just because of your HUGE PROCLAMATION of no 4-finger bias.

This sounds fun. It makes me sad that I don't know a goddamn thing about stepfile making.

You have no idea what an index file is... good thing you probably aren't entering. Have you played my leading cyber? That's the epitome of an index stepfile and it's still awesome to play 4-fingered.

I don't like making index-friendly files mainly because you have to restrict some patterns and such.
Some patterns for index are just retarded, even though you don't have to disclude them entirely, you have to limit them. Although, I must side with Arch0wl because 4-finger bias would be something like The Terminator. That's major 4-finger bias, and you don't see many simfiles like it. Most simfiles even if it is made with 4-finger-easy patterns, can be done with index.

There's not really any pattern you're RESTRICTED to, just at what speed it's at.

Keep in mind I would also mark off for 4-finger bias because I'm a one-hander. ;\

W/e, I can play all my files with index fingers.

But i'll stay away from 4 finger patterns if I enter. Not like i'll win anyway, but for fun. Thats if I actually get around to finding an amazing song.

Yeah since when do index files have little to no jumps? Go play my One or Eight or something. Arch has come very close to a SDG/AAA of ap's Brace Yourself (indexes duh) and is that jump-free? Hardly. Besides, I play one-handed and next to all of my files are index friendly anyway because IMO index friendly files are just more fun :/
