Default [Breakcore] Padlock - Escaping The Cellar

So here's my latest WIP. This one has been moving surprisingly fast, and I've been feeling abnormally inspired while making this. I actually made the majority of this, around 2 minutes, in one 4 hour sitting, which is record pace considering how slowly I usually finish tunes. Sorry to blueball you with only a taste of breaks, but I've only just gotten to that part! The title is obviously a reference to my EP (Marmalade Cellar) which it will be on.

I eventually plan on including MANY of my own recorded samples from my new field recorder in this track.

If anyone has any comments on progression, mixing, sample choice etc. at this point, please don't hesitate to tell me.

Felt like I was in an elevator, way too slow progressing. The end bit was nice though, but still came off as weak to me. Expected something a little heavier than steel guitar and light drums.

i liked the build up personally. nothing wrong with a long intro as long as the rest of the song makes the wait worth while

This is absent as of now, so I'm just giving my criticism as is. Even if the body of the song is really good, I don't really see why it needs more than a 1:30 intro.

Can't wait for the full thing, this is ****ing awesome so far.

Two things irk me though:

1) Right off the bat, the lowpass filter is causing some resonance issues to the guitar sample, Turning the Q down (if only temporarily) or compressing those certain frequencies being excited would be a good idea imo.

2) The 'end' of the guitar sample is too conspicuous. I would work to make it sound more seamless and things would flow a lot better I think

But so far so good. Keep up the great work man.
