Tass Needs A Business Card
guidelines:
I want my avatar on it. If you can somehow reduce it to 2-3 colors (or black and white?) that would be best. I was thinking FFR blue for the background color, but am open to something else. I would like the avatar blended into the background if possible, I don't want it sticking out and looking awkward. It needs room for my address, phone number, 2 emails, 2 webpages, and 2 job titles. Not sure if anything else. I need a template in under 24 hours. Will reward with 15k credits. More entries the better. Thanks guys.

Re: Tass Needs A Business Card
Any way we could get a higher quality version of your avatar?
what is your avatar, incidentally? |

Re: Tass Needs A Business Card
Why don't you keep things classy and simple?
Like, embossed FFR logo on the left, all info on the right, on a plain card. Also: company logo is a great idea for a business card, but I can't say that copyright infringement to put your favorite book character on would be too.

Re: Tass Needs A Business Card
Xander, no ffr logo... Only one of the job titles is ffr. So, yeah. Ffr color is nice, but needs to not be ffr specific.
For the image, it is from the cover of dragons of winter night 1st edition.

Re: Tass Needs A Business Card
Not likely... that would look tacky, actually.
The best option for an insignia or picture is a company logo. If not that, then a simple, original, and iconic symbol might work too. For example, Chardish's gradient circle or Synth's triangles would work well on a business card. But Tass's book cover art? Not so much.

Re: Tass Needs A Business Card
Hm. I suppose you're right, but a lot of business cards have people's faces on them.

At least, not a professional one. I'm talking about one that exudes class, one that would look appropriate with simple embossed lettering. Not one of these cheap-ass print-job pieces of junk. I think the thing here is that you need to decide what your business card is for. Is it simply to provide a means of supplying contact information quickly and with class, or do you see it as a means of advertising?

Re: Tass Needs A Business Card
Can't help but think of this with all this talk of business cards.
I mean, the avatar could work if it was changed to be black and white and more like a logo than the cover art it is. e: Like an outline or something, vector, not sure how to explain what I mean. Just more... Solid.

Re: Tass Needs A Business Card
This would be much easier if you actually gave us the info, so we can judge sizes better.
anyway, thinking something like this. going to do more, but need to eat and do homework now. not sure about the font, but w/e. EDIT: updated. Last edited by Xandertrax; 03-16-2009 at 05:07 PM.. |
