Your biggest challenges in SM/FFR
Everyone here has a weakness...whether it's speed, jumpstream, jacks, accuracy, etc...
What is your biggest weakness? And how did you overcome that weakness if you have? Strengths Jumpstream Jacks Accuracy Stamina Weakness Left hand trills Running men Speed Two of my weaknesses, speed and left hand trills, started to go away once I learned how to control my taps much better. Stamina also used to be an issue when I started getting better. Most of these problems started going away once Byron gave me some pretty good tips.

Re: Your biggest challenges in SM/FFR
I was actually kind of hoping more serious responses more than something like "Everyone is better than me" or "Everything"

Re: Your biggest challenges in SM/FFR
Strengths:
-Accuracy at any speed (if I can keep up with it, chances are I can hit it accurately) -Wrist Jacking -Polyrhythms -Right Hand speed/stamina (can trill for medium durations at ~290 bpm and long for ~260bpm) -Running men/staircase patterns -Vibrating (entirely keyboard/setup dependent though) Weaknesses: -Left Hand (ffs this bugs me a lot..trill speed is about ~240 for medium length on a good day and ~200 for long length) -Full-length freezes or chaotic freeze sections (freezes in WEYX in SM kills me but I can do the end of Terminal Strike since you don't have to hold them really) -Mines (getting better at this fortunately) -Awkward anchor patterns or off-beat trill transitions (for instance the beginning of extratone pirates does something like 131342421313 type stuff which is incredibly awkward and messes me up) -Any streams upwards of ~350bpm (I think my problem is I try to hit the patterns accurately and just fall behind rofl) -Slow jacks (~130bpm) This is an ffr problem, I rush these like crazy I could go into a lot of detail about weaknesses but I'll stop there lol Last edited by Dynam0; 09-28-2013 at 01:33 PM.. |

Re: Your biggest challenges in SM/FFR
I can deal with charts where the main difficuklty comes from gimmicks and doublestepping rather well, but I suck at stamina and spins.

Re: Your biggest challenges in SM/FFR
I'm like the Mario of FFR in the sense that I think I'm about average in every skill category for my level. Just lacking some speed.
