Beginning of Air
Is it just me.. or is the beginning (the first 16th stream) incredibly hard to combo? is there like, some pattern there that's not fluent with the rest? I've tried at least 20 times to FC the beginning but I cannot. I can FC the rest of the song..

Re: Beginning of Air
it is and index stream so if you play spread it is pretty hard the one handed trills are probably the hardest part

Re: Beginning of Air
Well the thing is, I DO play index.. And I'm rather decent at it.. But there's just something about it that makes me not combo the beginning..

Re: Beginning of Air
I always missed when it goes off into the 864828286482828. I play spread, so of course I had some trouble with it, but I would miss at the same spot every time, about 20 or so notes in, and then go to FC the rest of the song. I dont know what it is about that pattern, but I just could never hit the left arrow.

Quite electrifying.

Re: Beginning of Air
I play spread and I can full combo the beginning most of the time. :\
Just notice the differences in the patterns and be quick. x3 |

Re: Beginning of Air
Thats basically the point I'm at now. Most of the time, I can FC it. Others its like "Omg fingers wont move fast enough." I guess I need to work on speed, rather than patterns. I can hit most anything, if its at the right BPM (FFFBF comes to mind for a case of I can hit it, its just too damn fast)

Re: Beginning of Air
I play spread, and I just destroyed it.
It is definitely tricky, but like pete said, you just have to be quick. |

Re: Beginning of Air
It's either:
A) the beginning of the song and you can't do certain patterns (I can't do jumpstream at the start) B) stamina issues (messing up on the trills after?)

he meant that certain patterns are done easier with certain play styles, not that they can't be done at all with a particular play style.

Re: Beginning of Air
I agree with you. It's a really easy index pattern, I play 3-finger 2 hands (basically index), but it takes me a couple tries before I PFC that part, or even FC in some cases. Maybe just cause it's the beginning of the song... Who knows? I think it's just cause you're not expecting it and don't have the BPM in your head yet.

Re: Beginning of Air
yeah see i agree
i have played spread a while now and i used to find it rather difficult for a while. but i just completely dropped playing the damn song after a while. then i got a lot better at the game and i tried it again, did it like it was second nature and wondered why it was ever difficult at all. it is just a matter of skill i guess? but youll get it.

Re: Beginning of Air
It's probably going from up-down-up-down to down-up-down-up, they look very similar but feel very different and if you don't recognize that it can cause trouble.
(BTW I just got 2 goods on the beginning index so you real indexers should be able to combo it no problem)

Re: Beginning of Air
At first, I thought you guys were talking about Torinouta... I'm like what are you guys talking about?
Real has full comboed it before... I've never full comboed Air before, because of the beginning. Nevermind. I just did. I don't know, but now I can do it perfectly fine. Laugh all you want at my PA... >_>
