Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I personally want to keep some backup judges, because i know of a couple people here who are either gonna take forever to judge, or might just abandon it all together in the middle of a batch. I'd definitely choose you for that rebound. I've only seen you judge for vibrajack **** tho, so that's my personal only view of your experience.
Wow I have a lot more opinions then I thought I would |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
If you noticed, i only made those packs because there wasn't enough of them. I'm actually currently working on some other packs that isn't dump related. Believe me, i can step and judge for FFR.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Just a little note for Nsane since he is putting them in game. Please dont use SSFFC to convert. That little lag it adds at the beg. is annoying as **** and if all the files start coming out like that it will be a pain in the ass.

rebound has gotten significantly better as a file maker. I'd vouch for him.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
the little lag could be avoided if people would bother to add silence to the song so that the pause wouldn't matter. I learned this on DF after a while; it allows for sub-frame syncing. The earlier files have the skips, the newer ones shouldn't (unless I got lazy, oops).

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
one of the big pet peeves that people have is that files start too fast, so that they click that start button, and have no time to get to their keys before the song starts. I was going to suggest adding 2 seconds of silence to the beginning of every song anyways

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
but that would mean i have to resubmit every file with silence in the beginning ****

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Wait, HOW many exactly are you aiming for? We want a manageable number of files to do.
Busy being on Dutch video game development teams iirc. You bring up another point...on Dragon's Fury, their custom engine has a fix to the issue, so people don't have to submit files with additional silence. I was wondering if the FFR engine can implement something like that; adding two seconds of silence now seems archaic. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
it's not hard. Hell I can do it. Just a matter of opening up audacity, adding it real quick, and changing the gap. Of course you wouldn't have to do that for files that already have a short bit of silence in the beginning, but yeah.
Nsane I really think for this first batch we should close it early. We still need to see how this team judging this is going to work. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Well, seeing how it appears that teams are already made; I can be a reserve judge (I pretty much guarentee fast response times), though my only experience is from the vibrajacking pack.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
ok I was thinking of team organization, but nothing against Kory's list.
Rebound, dimentio(not sure how active he is tho) could be added to backup judges. We'll have to ask alternative judgement for backup judges, most likely. Also if a couple of judges get inactive, number of teams can be reduced to 3. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
also if bmah lost the old batch files, it seems nobody has them anymore (Nsane doesn't either probably).
and I have all of queue'd files so we can add those files first. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I still think there should only be 3 teams of 3. That's a lot of judges
