TWG CXLVII - Read The Setup - Town Wins! (Postgame)
Town Wins
http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?...xican_Standoff We indeed rolled setup 11 as was deduced by the players. 1. Gradiant - Tracker, Survived to win 2. AragakiAyase - Killed Night 3, Cop 3. XelNya/_Zenith_ - Lynched Day 3, Werewolf Follower 4. reuben_tate - Lynched Day 1, Vanilla Town 5. Charu - Killed Night 1, Vanilla Town 6. thesunfan - Vanilla Town, Survived to win 7. MixMasterLar - Lynched Day 4, Werewolf 8. dabackpack - Lynched Day 2, Mafia Follower 9. rzr - Vanilla Town, Survived to win 10. choof/Red Blaster - Jailkeeper, Survived to win 11. botchi246 - Modkilled Night 4, Mafia 12. Hakulyte - Killed Night 1, Vanilla Town 13. lucker - Killed Night 2, Vanilla Town dabackpack being forced to concede was unfortunate, given that both wolfteams failed to kill any blues or green in the first 2 nights, yielding 5 VT kills to start off the game. Zenith claiming the next phase was outright lazy on Zenith's part, and sealed the deal for scum. Having 3 confirmed blues going in final 7 and 2 confirmed blues coming into final 5 made it mechanically impossible for botchi to win, regardless of being modkilled, if someone had worked out the possibilities. Because the jailer was alive, botchi would not have been able to make a kill regardless of any possibilites, although good town play for botchi in the end No MVP for this game because literally everyone went potato Mixmasterlar gets a special mention for fighting it out to the bitter end. There's something that a lot of us to learn from that fight. DBP and rzr calling out scum team was hillarious though Mafia Quicktopic - http://www.quicktopic.com/52/H/bW9NRE2Lxy9 Werewolf Quicktopic - http://www.quicktopic.com/52/H/jagNMSufZccCB

I disagree that he could not win, I thought about it a lot and maybe I'm just dumb but it looks like
assuming a no-kill that night, because it is the most logical scenario, f5: gradiant red sunfan rzr botchi, we almost always kill rzr, he flips town. goes to f4: gradiant red sunfan botchi, again, a no-kill. I probably die, I try my hardest not to ofc, as did rzr, but botchi wins. if botchi makes a kill going into the next phase, he can't win, that much is true

side note, i'm proud of red blaster and yeah i'm exaggerating when i say that everyone went potato, but idk i don't think there were massive standouts for town, it was more of a collection of a lot of events leading up to the win

I think had botchi not been modkilled he stood a fairly good chance of winning though, so I'd give him top honors this game in terms of how he played. He dug himself out of that mega derp in D2 to become widely townread and I seriously doubt anyone would've suspected him going into D5..possibly not even in D6.

if you die, then gradiant, red, botchi. that's not parity, and phase would go into night. |

Re: TWG CXLVII - Read The Setup - Town Wins! (Postgame)
You were doing really well there at the end botchi! Sorry I should have made it clearer in the chat that you should try to lynch me if I was going down.
I was thinking of claiming so I could try to expose the werewolf team (which hilariously also worked) That wasn't enough --- I might have been able to dig myself out of getting lynched, but the real problem was that botchi and I were very much paired together as a wolf team. I knew that if I struggled and was lynched then botchi would necessarily be implicated. So what pushed me over the edge was the opportunity for me to try to incriminate others as "my partners" (I focused on sunfan because I knew he wasn't a blue) as well as to give botchi an opportunity to distance himself from me (which actually kind of worked) I should have thought of that earlier and put that option in the wolfchat so you weren't blindsighted, I wasn't trying to throw the team under the bus -- quite the opposite, but I should have made that more transparent sorry if I spooked you there botchi |

I had everything up to that point... I figured scum would just win if I got mislynched because I wasn't factoring in that both power roles would be alive

To add to that, if I didn't somehow guarantee the existence of a werewolf team, then the next phase (after I died) people would be looking for my partner and then my team would be gg
I'm not suggesting claiming was a good idea, but it wasn't something as simple as "giving up" and in my mind I had good intentions |

Let me be honest with you, dbz (heh)
When I died, I thought you were the one that killed me because I totally was gonna throw shit at you next phase. |
