I'm trying my damnedest. ;( There must be something about the syncing or the rhythms that I'm mindblocking like a fuqq.

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 1
I'm not sure. It feels like I'm hitting the notes spot-on, but I get random goods. The same thing happened to me last tournament when I had to play Beautiful Arrhythmia.

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 1
In the case of Mirage Garden being 156 BPM, every time there is a 2-frame speedup in the 16ths it is going to feel odd. It's basically playing a 150 BPM stream with that occasional 225 BPM speedup.
I can see where Zephei is getting at, but it depends if the goods are early or late. If they're late goods, it means you have to be hitting slightly faster. |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 1
Thoughts on songs.
Clouds from the East: Much, much harder than any past round 1 starters for D1 that I can remember. The music's really pretty and relaxing though. Hoot [AREIA Remix]: We don't get a lot of Korean music, so this was interesting. The file wasn't all too memorable for me though, except for the part that goes: "trouble, trouble, trouble". Reading For Days: A bit trickier than I remember as normal for a D3 starter, particularly the repeated 12th arrows going into 16th jumps - a bit of a polyrhythm there. Fun to play. Music was ok but IMO was marred by the lyrics which had the typical "nerdy vocalist that associates himself with MLP"-feeling. The Whip: More like The Wipe, the disc scratches sound squeaky clean with a wet cloth. Fun song, and also a bit trickier than what I would expect for the first round of D4. It all went well till the 24th swings blended in with 16ths and 32nd trills. Stories Can Wait (Virtual Riot Remix): The nature of some of the patterns became pretty repetitive, but it felt right, going along with the song. Great file IMO, and the song was pretty good. This was my favorite of the week! Guile of the Rime King: Seems easier than the usual 74, the only exception being that blasted [24][24] jack-followed-by-32nds section, just like how I remember it on SM. Song was breakcore, expect a lot more. Mirage Garden: Stepped excellently, this is a great debut for ilikexd. Song sounds like it'd be fit for GuitarFreaks/Drummania. A lot of good flow and pattern variety, you won't be bored I guarantee it. |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 1
does the numbers on the user eliminations thing on the dashboard indicate amount of eliminations per round, or how many will be remaining after the round ends?
