Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
No set definites yet as to who's "teacher" or "tutor" Wasn't 100% on your particular areas of expertise so to say. I want to have maybe like a little meeting to figure out where people's strong points are and what area would be best suited for them to teach others. We're getting more people interested in teaching than I had expected lol. But just gimmi a little time to work out all the little details.
Basically what I'm going to want to do eventually is have like a teacher profile. Show's what areas you are strong in even what style of songs you're strongest in. That way we can team up students accordingly or just have it so if they have a question that matches your expertise they can come to you.

Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
After seeing what happened to this last time, I am doubting the success of this.
Unfortunately my time constraints are not going to allow me to teach anything this time. Oh well. |

all the conversation and files/wips from said one to one association could be released as it happens (if the student is ok with it) and it could be used as a teaching point for others

Re: Stepman University (Currently looking for teachers/students)
@ kory: Kayla and I will be deciding who gets the teaching spots/tutor spots, and with Kommi/G-D taking teacher spots for SM and me/Kommi taking teaching spots for pad, you'd probably be more than likely stuck as a tutor anyway. This isn't me trying to be rude (i'm really tired of the whole battling/arguing about crap between us), but it's just how things might end up working out.
Honestly, i'm committed to giving any bit of spare time that I have for helping people in stepping, and there are others here; if you don't think it will work, then you don't have to engage in it. As for me, I'm actually going to keep building the pad curriculum to that people can cater to the style of stepping they really want, whether it be ITG, PIU, or just plain and simple DDR. also, I'll be making sure that these lessons don't get laced with elitism, because people should be entitled to choosing the way their style comes out, rather than being forced to follow this same mechanical/monotonous style that's been the "standard". The topics of layering, pitch relevancy, expressiveness, etc. will be explained, but by no means will there be any forcing of styles anywhere. it's up to you if you want to follow/join, but if you don't want to, then it's alright. We're truly serious in trying to teach people certain aspects of charting. In fact, I'm probably going to be spending the weekend using my web server to try integrating an almost text-book like appearance with explanations on how things work, from basic editor topics, to very fine topics that will be discussed thoroughly down the line (like x-modding, ACA, etc.). Just give us some time. |

Oh P.s. I'd also be interested in learning solo theory, although I'm not sure how different it is from 4key.
