What about as a dropdown option underneath FFR Forum? I think that would be a more appropriate place for it. Although honestly it's only one click that it's saving. I don't really think it's worth it.

i always thought it was annoying as hell that i have to go into the forums to get to the user cp. having it in the dropdown forum menu would be nice

FFR Settings --> Account settings

Wow would you look at that. That seems wrong to me for whatever reason. I figured that was for like... account settings. So it should go straight to Edit Options or something.

Actually I've been meaning to ask for it to be switched to there. That or just rename the link to User CP or something that doesn't make you feel a little bit of disappoint when you click it. lol
