Re: FFR's Top 100 Video Games
T-1. Final Fantasy X (International Version) (PS2) [Count this as Final Fantasy X if you want]
First RPG I've played. I've put in so many hours into this game... it's ridiculous haha. T-1 (2). Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix (PS2) [Count this as Kingdom Hearts II if you want] Same with FFX, I've put in a lot of hours into this game. There's so much to explore in this game, compared to the original KH and KH2, just very fun overall. 3. Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal (PS2) First platformer game I've played. Hands down the best one I've played, the music is really good too. 4. Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA) There's just something about this game which makes the game replayable every time for me, but I'm not sure what haha. 5. Tales of the Abyss (PS2) Oh god, the nostalgia. 6. Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories (PS2) I used to love this game when I was a kid, the soundtrack is great, the gameplay is amazing, I should probably play this game again. 7. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (GC) Far better than the first one, has a deeper storyline and I'd say it's the best game out of the four games in the Paper Mario series. 8. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2) Used to play this game a lot back then. 9. Worms 4: Mayhem (PC) Worms has a really nice concept, its comedic factors and all just makes it a pretty nice concept. Add 3D and more weapons, it becomes one of my favourite Worms games in the entire series haha. 10. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) This probably has the potential to move up a little more, I haven't really put in too much time into this. But from all the time I've played it, I've enjoyed it. Last edited by EzExZeRo7497; 06-16-2013 at 06:16 AM.. |

Re: FFR's Top 100 Video Games
Oh god oh man is this gonna be difficult ;w;
1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) Obvious choice #4234534566 2. Super Mario 64 (N64) Obvious choice #57896445365 3. Donkey Kong 64 (N64) Just a lot of fun 4. Metroid Prime (Game Cube) Very very good game on its own and faithful to the original games when contrasted. For me personally, this was the first Metroid game I ever actually played. 5.Final Fantasy-series (PSX, GBA and PS2) Listing these as one entity because I've completed Final Fantasies I through XII and I can't bring myself to pick a favorite ;w; All of them have excellent storylines and the gameplay is always great with every game having its own subtleties. (I will narrow this down if absolutely necessary.) 6. Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask (N64) OoT with a much more seriousface story and a completely different atmosphere to it. Words like menacing, creepy and despaired come to mind. Kinda low on the list because this game used to scare me shitless as a kid. 7. Warcraft 3 (PC) The campaign storylines were absolutely brilliant for all races and then there was DotA of course on the online side of things. So low on the list because I suck at RTS-games lol. 8. Diablo 2 (PC) So. Much. Time. spent on this game asdf. So low on the list because I like games with stories and Diablo games are notoriously heavy on grinding instead of story <_> 9. Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm (PC) Just because of the campaign storyline oh my god. 10. Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty (PC) Kinda cheating a bit, but these do count as separate games. Still, storyline reasons =w= Honorable mentions: World of Warcraft Phantasy Star online 2 Stepmania Touhous 6-13 Pokémon games (Gen 1-3) Last edited by Samwais; 06-16-2013 at 04:46 AM.. Re: FFR's Top 100 Video Games
I would go as far as to say that Majoras Mask is horror, just based on the premise of the story and the general atmosphere, not to mention the countless disturbing moments in there asdafsdadadfsf.
(Childhood traumas ftw) I thought Clanker was cute btw ;w; p.s. apologies for the short derail but this is a subject worth discussing :P Last edited by Samwais; 06-16-2013 at 05:28 AM.. |

Re: FFR's Top 100 Video Games
1.) Kingdom Hearts II (PS2)
-Really enjoyed this game because of it's huge storyline, involvement of Disney Characters and Final Fantasy characters, and a pretty open world-like environment. Not to mention, since it was the sequel, it was pretty much just like the first game just with more attacks and customizations. Which brings me to number two. 2.) Kingdom Hearts (PS2) -My SISTER got this game back when it came out, so I immediately refused to look at it and just figured it must be some dumb childish game (I was a naive preteen). It took me about three years to finally say, "Whoa, what is this game I never played and beat, might as well try it out." So, I played it, and absolutely loved it. Great story and I really just enjoyed the simplicity of it that went along with menu and party customization. 3.) Burnout Paradise (X-Box 360) -Loved this game. Replayed it a couple times. Just, when it comes to games I enjoy vastness and the ability to unlock new things and complete different objectives. Not to mention the driving was smooth and easy, and spending time online with a friend doing dumb shit was honestly some good-ass times. 4.) Borderlands (X-Box 360) -As long as you count the fact that I could play this game on-line with a couple friends. Storyline wasn't bad and treasure hunting was extremely fun. Leveling the character etc. kept me coming back and again having a huge world with bosses coupled with humorous quips made this game a ton of fun. Bought all of the DLC for it and enjoyed pretty much all of it. Borderlands 2 was OKAY.. but not something as special as this first game. 5.) SSX Tricky (PS2) -I find that I am always coming back to play this game, even after I have maxed out each character five times before. I love it, I love the ridiculousness and the personalities. Fuck. 6.) Hot Shots Golf Fore! (PS2) -I'm not huge into sports games, but I play them every once in a while. But nothing compares to Hot Shots. Easy three click swing system creates such high anxiety moments. Playing Versus Mode to unlock new characters and unlocking new equipment for future use gives the game something to fight for. Then of course when you play with friends, it's pretty damn fun since it's pretty easy to learn. 7.) Fable 2 (X-Box 360) Goddamn good game. First game I ever played like it. Never really got into RPG's until this game, and made sure to unlock every damn thing I could. There was always something to do, but of course this game really got me into the big adventure games. 8.) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (X-Box 360) -Fable essentially got me into these kind of games, and then this game blew my mind. Since I had never played Oblivion, I had never played a game with such openness and customization since some random free-MMORPG on the computer. Leveling shit keeps me coming back for more, but the side quests and missions make the game pretty damn fun. Yes, it gets repetitive after a while and I personally thought the main storyline was only okay, but that's why it's lower on my list. 9.) Red Dead Redemption (X-Box 360) -I could have easily put Grand Theft Auto IV here, but I think I enjoyed the western vibe of this game more and the storyline was more intriguing. Huge open world and a pretty good system of shooting, etc. 10.) Guitar Hero 3: legends of Rock (X-Box 360) -This was actually a really tough decision. I have a whole list of games I loved that didn't make my list just because they would be there for nostalgia's sake more than anything. But this game got me good. I had to put it in here because it took out a pretty good chunk of my time (kind of like FFR) trying to become extremely good. I began using optimal star-power paths and uploading scores to scorehero, I was always trying to 100% songs (much like FFR AAAs), and I enjoyed rarely losing on-line. Then I made qualifying for some tournament hosted by the local news channel, and went, and came second place. I still miss that 100 dollar gift card to best buy. After that, it all tapered down and haven't played the game in a long time. Honorable Mention: Halo 2 (X-Box)(Multiplayer) -First online FPS, and it was amazing. Jak 2 (PS2) -The other Jak games were awesome as well. Grand Theft Auto IV (X-Box 360) Crash Bandicoot: Warped (PS1) -Crash 1 and 2 were fucking awesome also. Spyro the Dragon 1, 2 and 3 (PS1) -One of my first games, and it was fun, and so were the sequels. Crash Team Racing (PS1) Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 (PC) Age of Mythology (PC) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (PS2) For multiplayer purposes: Halo 3 Call of Duty: Black Ops Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Re: FFR's Top 100 Video Games
Oh god the loading sequences in that game... Still good though!
Anyway. 1: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) 2: Star Fox 2 (semi-SNES) (yes it counts fuck you!) 3: Mirror's Edge (PS3) (Simple and amazing love it!) 4: Trauma Center Second Opinion (Wii) 5: Star Fox 64 (N64) 6: Super Mario 64 (N64) 7: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (GameCube) 8: Call of Duty 2 (PC) (Yes of all the FPSs this is my winner.) 9: Mario Kart 64 (N64) 10: Parasite Eve 1/2 (PS1) (Omfg I put an RPG in there!) Honorable mentions: Montezuma's Revenge (Sega Master System): This game scarred my brain for eternity. If I am fucked up today it is largely attributed to that game. If you wanna know why ask MarioNintendo. In essence, it defined my childhood along with another specific game... Kenseiden (Sega Master System): See Montezuma's Revenge, to a lesser extent. Earthbound and Super Mario RPG (SNES): The only 2 other "playable" non-action RPGs on console. Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow (Game Boy): I KNOW they're RPGs too, but... Nah it's all different. Nostalgia and infinite replay value. It deserves a spot in the top 10, but... Nah, it's in a class of its own, I can't put it with the rest of the games listed up there. Super Smash Brothers Melee: See Pokémon. Ninja Gaiden (NES): Possibly my #11. Any of the Mario main titles (All Nintendo consoles): They're all amazing and I've played the fuck out of most of them, but for some reason they're not THAT memorable (with the exclusion of SM64)... Wild Guns (SNES): Because screw you Félix LOOOOOL
