Re: Do you like to drive?
I will never let someone drive me anywhere, I am paranoid when being a passenger, if I have to, I'll take my own car and drive.
I ****ing love driving, I've put on over 35,000 km's in 10 months since I got my G2. I drive about 500-1000kms a week. I plan on buying an S2000 and then getting an EK9 civic with a K20 swap for my winter car.

Re: Do you like to drive?
I drive a 2000 Explorer. I like driving because I feel less paranoid than I do as a passenger. Plus there's no bickering about where I sit when I drive. I used to despise large vehicles but so far I like driving SUVs and trucks more than cars, although they can be a pain to maneuver at times.

Re: Do you like to drive?
I love driving by myself. I end up just voicing my thoughts out loud and it's very therapeutic at times.
Also, I blast my music and sing as loud and as passionately as I want to and nobody has to hear how badly I sing

Re: Do you like to drive?
I own a 5 speed v6 mitsubishi galant with 188K miles on it :3 I love driving. Seeing this wasn't my first car I have well over 250K miles under my belt I learned to drive on a 4 speed 350 IROC Z28 Camaro my Father built. That was an experience in itself. I have been fully liscensed and driving since I was 16... 10 years -_-

Re: Do you like to drive?
Honestly Im scared to drive :< Im 17 and have had my permit for over a year, but the thought of driving freaks me out lol. I forget theres other people in the other cars, and they can react to me. i assume theyre robots and will ram me at the slightest mistake or something. That and I also dont trust my skills and i dont want to cause a pile up :P

Re: Do you like to drive?
I liked driving for the first 2 years. Then it was just a burden. I admit, though, it's nice to be able to have the freedom to go wherever you want...just gets expensive/tiring.

Re: Do you like to drive?
I have been driving for a while now. Sometimes it's nice on peaceful week days when the kids are in school but most of the time I just hate it. I love being able to be the passenger since I have to drive people around all the time and it gets to be a hassle. Another thing is inner city traffic...HEY~! Let's stop on a green light....GRRR

Re: Do you like to drive?
I've probably owned more cars in my lifetime than everyone in this thread combined haha.
I'm up somewhere around 20 cars now. Even though I love the machines, I hate driving. HATE. I was a delivery driver for 3 years, 8 hours a day in a car 6 days a week sucked, now I have a 2 hour (each way) commute to and from work. I currently own 4 cars and a motorcycle, and the only enjoyment I get is from the motorcycle, cars are a god damn chore and I hate stepping foot in them now. It literally puts me in a bad mood. |

Re: Do you like to drive?
Eh, I don't mind driving, but I'd generally much rather be the passenger. Give me the opportunity to lie back and sleep over having to focus on what I'm doing any day. Though I do appreciate getting to listen to my own music at a pretty high volume--driving is the only time I ever get to do that.
Though now that I think about it, that only applies when I'm here at home rather than at college like I usually am. I go to school in Pittsburgh, where the public transit is free for me and not much of a hassle, so it's far more convenient than city driving. Of course, just -having- a car there would be nice for when I have to leave the city, though I really wouldn't use it more than a few times a year. |

Re: Do you like to drive?
for me driving is fun from time to time, but generally speaking i hate it, its too impersonal, i prefer a motorcycle, in a car it kind of becomes like tv and you get disconnected from the world, the road doesnt seem as real, on a motorcycle you realize that that pavement thats inches beneath your feet is real, that the wind exists and all the other great stuff, its alot more personal than being in a rolling cage

Re: Do you like to drive?
I prefer driving to being a passenger every time. I'm not a control freak under most circumstances, but when I have to watch someone react to things differently than I do, it bothers me. And I can't force myself to not pay attention.
