Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Probably auto-reject. It's not the judges responsibility to clean up your messes. This happened with Izzy recently when he did not take out the holds.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Well, I've noticed quite a few files in FFR that don't have the 2 second grace period.
I was just wondering how that would work, and it's not like removing the 6 notes in the beginning is terribly difficult...I really hope that's not an auto-reject. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I thought the first 2 seconds would be automatically cut off by the FFR converter when it becomes a .swf, so you didn't have to worry about that to an extreme degree.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
blu will the two-second silence in for those who forget to add it and get files accepted.
it's not like holds/mines where you're using a mechanic that's just obviously not part of the game, and it's easy to forget it, so it's all right. please do try to remember it though.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
And just to clarify, this is just two seconds that doesn't have notes, not necessarily two seconds of no music, right? The former isn't a problem, but I have no idea how to do the latter.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Audacity. shift the imported mp3 2 seconds. export.
then shift your offset by 2 seconds on SM.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Use Audacity or any similar program and you can easily insert two second of silence into the beginning.
Also, with two seconds of no music, you can simply shift the gap so that the song starts two seconds later (which is what I do) |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Thanks for the link, Xander, but I already downloaded it because I saw it was free, and it didn't take up much space.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I'll have to remember to put my 2 seconds of silence in for files that need it.
I'll check and send fixes after the results of this batch. |
