High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
[High FGO Special Batch]
This batch is closed. One Winged Angel has proposed a revision of the current 1-99 scale to 1-120 and a potential shift in the mindset of FFR. Over the years FFR has been highly geared towards AAAing files which has resulted in hard files being very difficult to get ingame, so the expansion of the difficulty scale in addition to this experimental mentality shift calls for a Special Hard Song Batch that we haven't had for two years. Submission Criteria specialsubmissions@gmail.com The criteria for submissions, in addition to regular batch rules such as song artist permission and submission formatting (remember to attach zip or rar files, no links to external sites or we will reply back requesting the attached submission), will be that the file must be at least High FGO to be considered for judging. Currently the High FGO cutoff is difficulty 89, so this is an 89+ batch on the current 1-99 scale. For a benchmark comparison, Reluctantly Accepting Temporary Overexhaustion would be somewhere between 110-113 on the new 1-120 scale. 120 difficulty files would still be possible to get double digit goods from High D7 players (80-90 good range); the top scores you see on RATO are under 50 goods so that should give an idea on how hard songs are above 110. More importantly see the current 89 difficulty files before submitting. Stepartists are able to submit up to their submission cap. Public Difficulty 89 Files (cutoff examples) The Ordeal Becomes Great Japan Style Breakcore!!! Rain [YMCK] Stinger Eclipse (Solar) Counter Clockwise Chant Pattern You Time thinking of you Grist Scrap Syndrome Submission Tracking There is now a Batch Search Engine that will be used for tracking currently qualified submissions for this batch (in terms of difficulty). This is the snapshot of the currently qualified FGO+ submissions for the Special Batch as of 9/5/15 10:57 AM EST. Be warned this is a big image; my work laptop makes this look small. Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
This is probably the wrong thread to ask but on the new difficulty scale, is vROFL still a 999?

When skill ratings came out I honestly was expecting some gamebot to come in and get like an SDG or AAA on vROFL (funny enough in itself) and you'd see that account as #1 ranked with somewhere around 32,350 skill rating (if vROFL even has a possible skill rating attached to it).

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
this sounds accurate
honestly though i don't see a reason to add more difficulties since ffr doesn't really have anything that hard in it to begin with.

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
I feel like this change would give us reason to add a bunch of said hard files

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
different judges I'm pretty sure. Rn it looks like just OWA and Dossar judging this, and while I haven't looked at the last batch at all, I imagine if they judged for that too their judgments are done.

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
The September 2014 Batch is set at the highest priority right now and all the Sets are assigned -- Silvuh and I have been talking about that batch frequently and opening the Special Batch doesn't stop the other one. You may have noticed that in the OP the judgment process is still under discussion -- a lot is going on with the GM Team right now regarding the Batch and a weekly update is being posted tomorrow.

In other news, despite not playing much, I'm pretty hype for this because fun hard stuff.

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
odd22 is surprisingly much more playable (and more fun) on FFR compared to SM
I think I got 20s on the test engine and there's no way I could touch that on SM |

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
that's pretty great to hear, hoping to see odd22 in game at some point, especially after I spent the time to fix it up

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
I just sent something.
Probably not sending anything else, I can't find enough good songs that would make hard enough files. |

Re: High FGO Special Batch [Sep 2015]
do files moved to this batch from regular batches (e.g nest) count towards the step author limit
