Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
Democracy = Each move is picked based on votes in a 5-second queue
Anarchy = Input is Output In addition to using whichever is the in-force method to move Ash around, you can also input 'Anarchy' or "Democracy' as a command to push a bar in that direction, which determines which input system is the one in force. |

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I guess you are right. At least something would happen if you button mashed. Assuming you aren't on a map where you can fall off the edge. Which is practically every map.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
uhhh but like, moving would just be a series of button taps? Or could you program holds? Eg. Up 200 = 200ms

Yeah, I'm not sure how you would stay on the platform long enough for anything to happen.

Super Smash Brothers Melee
Final Destination Falco Fox Only This is how to be a true man (bot). ...Isn't there one flat stage in Super Smash Brothers though? I recall Mushroom Kingdom being relatively flat (beside the pit in the middle). |

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I was thinking about setting up a democracy based stream for Hearthstone since the turns can be longer than the stream delay. After seeing the backlash against the system, I have second guesses about putting the time in to program it. What I have is rudimentary so far, but it can detect in-game states, has the ability to make moves (none coded atm), find card and minion positions, and accept input from the chat. Not sure if twitch users will have the attention span to actually sit and think through a turn in their head, though. Maybe RNG plays Hearthstone instead.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
Wait can somebody please remind me how long they've been trying to clear the Game Corner? It feels like it's been over 30 hours.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
I like the system that the Pokemon Yellow stream is using.
http://www.twitch.tv/twitchplayspokemonyellow Votes tallied every 1 second. A bit of democracy (resulting in much less start spam, for example), but the result still highly resembles the amusing anarchy we've come to enjoy.

Re: Twitch Plays Pokemon
They should get rid of democracy system and let it burn or whatever. Democracy defeats the whole purpose of this stream.
