I would assume that playing in more and more games could desensitize someone who has trouble at first, but I would also assume that doesn't apply to absolutely everyone.

I think it's a fun game, but it is just a game. The decision of whether or not it's worthwhile to keep playing ultimately comes down to each individual.
I would say if you are okay with being desensitized to people being deceptive and manipulative keep playing. You will stop being so impacted by it and you will also be much, much better at catching it, but as has kinda been said by others in the thread (i think?) someone being deceptive/manipulative will not shake you the same way as over time you will have trained yourself to be more interested in their intentions than their actions.

I'm still hoping that I can improve as a player... I've played three TWGs, the first of which I was killed in the first hour of a phase because someone guessed my identity and that was a pre-requisite for killing...

my second and third games, I was a wolf and I did terrible both times. When I was under pressure, I got extremely offended (second game), or just flew UTR because I was panicking and didn't really know how to defend myself (third game). Hopefully I can get into the next jTWG and actually get into a more... tame game, I suppose.

you replaced out of 103 really quickly so I guess you could say that one didn't count
but yeah I think we need either a coaching system or having like a vet as a vt.

When I went to roll this game; I was really scared that the wolves were going to be Yoshl/Gun, because that was a scary possibility for the newer players, so I'm glad that didn't happen.

I'll go ahead and take the blame for this, I was helping tutor a bunch of players who played this game and I didn't react to a lot of the tension that happened, I was too busy focusing on helping the players understand roles then playstyle and I should have intervened. So, i'm sorry everyone.

If the number of volunteers exceed the number of possible veteran slots couldn't we just host a 'pick your teammate' kind of draft like those ones who ruined your teenage self-esteem?

R I chose to go with Yosh for 2 reasons actually. I didn't understand a lot of your reasoning for your actions before, which actually ended up working your favor as you 1. cleared your own name, 2. found out who the seeker was to protect them and 3. all but cleared yosh's name. It was a neat move.

I didn't mean what I said earlier about you being stupid. That was me venting and it not at all true. I chose to go with yosh over you as a person to side with me to lynch funnygurl because yosh had, up until a point in time when suddenly he was convinced I was a wolf, been pretty agreeable to things I'd said. We had built up a some sort of rapport over the game and I felt that I could use that to my advantage. Also, a big part of it was that I didn't have a roleblocker wolf partner anymore. There was at best a 50/50 chance that I could have wolfed fg or yosh at night because you'd protect the other one. And with Yosh being a nearly confirmed green in your eyes, it seemed like you'd protect him over funnygurl, and that would have left me with me trying to convince you that yosh was the wolf, which I didn't think would have worked. And I didn't want to have 4 people around that last day. So you were killed. Plus I thought your agreement with me was a test of my guilt to not kill you.
