Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Hello everyone,
Just a quick update; only three more files have been judged since the last update. This is mostly my fault because I am simply spending time that I really do not have trying to write detailed notes. With that being said, I am going to start judging files again today. However, my notes are going to return to a more of a summarized format that I used to do basically 8-9 years ago. I know it's not exactly the most fair thing to do, but this batch has basically been held up by me, and I can't do it anymore. To those who are still waiting in judgment: if I put out really summarized notes and you would like clarification, do not hesitate to contact me on Discord. Hit up the FFR Discord server and you'll almost certainly find me there online to message. I apologize, but I feel like this is the best way to get things done at this point in time. EDIT: clearly summarized pacing is working; notes are of acceptable length - here was my first sit down: 6 files were judged in that period. I'm gonna try to do more later; I am trying to force myself to do it now and I'm just not feeling it at the moment. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-14-2018 at 12:46 PM.. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
I think that unless people disagree with a rating, which can happen, in-depth notes aren't necessary at all. Yes they're nice, but they're not a priority. In case someone really isn't satisfied with a summary, and agreement can't be reached, then detailed notes should be required.
Do your best. I know you tend to give yourself deadlines you can hardly respect because of lack of free time or just motivation, and then you have to apologize everytime. Instead, I suggest you simply explain where you're at (when you post an update). OT hype~ |

But yeah, it seems to be helping out overall. Progress is happening and it feels a lot easier doing things this way, haha.

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
I updated before... according to review.
It's unfortunate that you won't manage to make those detailed notes for all the files. In any case I do appreciate the careful look you gave for my file. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Don't get me wrong — they're not quick one-liners or anything like that. I just haven't gone and put much more effort in noting every issue throughout the file and instead have encouraged users to look around a bit more for mistakes like the ones that have been found.
There's still some meat to the notes, just not quite as much. I've saved a bit in writing by doing things this way. On another note: I'll be putting notes out sometime today. How long the notes will be are dependent on how much further I go from this point before burning out for the day. There will be notes for at least 16 + 1 files (+1 because the score is a 0/10 due to some strange technical issue), but perhaps more than that depending on my mood (I'm currently taking a break from judging right now to eat). |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Notes have been posted down to October (Dark Autumn Remix) in the Batch Review Thread 2.0 thread. If you have notes in this second set and elect to make changes, be sure to make a post in here letting us know that changes have been made to files so that we know to look back at them.
EDIT: notes added for 22 more songs for this update, yay. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-19-2018 at 04:52 PM.. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Double post just to say this, but it is very likely that another tournament batch is going to be opened after all files are initially judged because it seems like we are lacking in easier files.
If you want to take advantage of this if/when it happens, it might be a good idea to start preparing for stuff now. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-19-2018 at 05:10 PM.. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
The files that are most likely going to be needed based off of what I've seen will be in the ranges of 20 to 50 in game.
I don't doubt that there will still be gaps after that, but at least that will make a dent in it if people target that particular area. |

Re: Official Tournament Special Batch
Apologies for this; I forgot to update the internal status of the most recently judged files on my end, so people may not have been successful in updating their files.
Those statuses will all be updated within the next 5 minutes; apologies for that, and thanks to Ghost_Medley for letting me know that their file was locked/unavailable for editing. Gotta remind myself to make those changes after each batch. |
