Strategem - Just bad... I mean, wow, what was I thinking?
Geno's Forest F-Zero - Pretty bad file for most but should be enjoyable for newer players unlike Strategem which is just bad. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
There's a whole thread dedicated to that question, come on, look around a little next time. It's called Emotions by Trance Control and it's in the game twice.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I think the range of FMO is becoming too large... but that's just me.
Kil Stage: I would have wanted all drums stepped. More rolls/bursts where appropriate. Otherwise, I think it was done nicely. I like the feel. Especially the trill. The repeated drum steps in the beginning give me terrible mental blocks. Could have made that burst different each time... jumps should be PR more. Battle Theme #37: I would say this was a very easy file, because it had no variance like Kil Stage... but I know it's harder than Kil Stage for most people. Mostly because of those minijacks amidst those jump quintuplets. The file was boring.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Actually I did, All files I've played before.
Rebirth's made quite a lot of my favorite files, weather he does remove just the freezes and hands on occasion or most of the time or not is beyond me. The only file he's stepped and I've played that i somewhat dislike is Utopia. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Stop putting bad files in the game. This round additions makes me sad inside. Only one file (Kil Stage) is legitimately good, and one file (Sword Strike) is fairly passable. the other three blow major nuts.
Don't make me explain why, it should be fairly obvious 1.5 out of 5 is not a good record

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Battle Theme is only fun to me at all because it's an FMO. Pretty poorly stepped with copymirror and a couple completely stupid random minijacks.
Kil Stage is quite fun and very well stepped. And NOT an FMO, thx. will play the others tomorrow.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Yeah, to elaborate, Otter's Dance had some weird-ass 32nd patterns. Kinda fun overall, although really weird layering.
The D2 song and file was alright. D1... meh. It was sulfer. D4... yay jumpstream D5... holy wow what the **** I could have stepped that in 20 minutes in that case. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
stargroup, 4 second convert files are still way better than most FFR files you know. See Midnight Dragon, etc. (Also, Kyuin rofl)
Holy Orders is really really good. New favorite file in FFR for sure. I'm glad jimerax edited it, the 24th layering to the drums is really nice. A lot better than your first version, Shash The ubertrills aren't too bad, I FC'd them sightread but missed a butt ton of stupid crap cause I wasn't warmed up. FCable, ,but it will be a hard one because of the length. OVERALL: Holy Orders is the best file in FFR hands down. Suitably technical, and a hell of a lot more fun than comparable things like Blue Rose

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I'm not fond of the song but it is a pretty sweet file. I would disagree that it's not the best but it is pretty darn good
and by darn good I mean amazing. all the other files I've played for this song sucked
