I like it more than I thought I would, 6.5/10. Very emotional. Reminded me of this song.

Re: Rate The Song Above You
sick, 8/10
The way this decays is lovely, if you like drone, listen to this. If you enjoy rich and textured ambient music, listen to this instead.

I've listened to this song a lot from Scar Symmetry, much love for them. 9/10
Choof and Dynamo, those songs were phenomenal. That ambient track was especially amazing. 10/10 edit: changed the song i put up

Flows nicely, very creative and original. I like it a lot. Matt Fax & Mindset - Plane This has an AMAZING groove. Longest preview I could find.

Re: Rate The Song Above You
It's okay... however i REALLY don't dig how aggressive and uplifting it's trying to be at the same time. It's trying to be uplifting in a hardcore sorta fashion, which conflicts too much when I'm trying to mellow out with it, or if I'm trying to let it be upbeat with me. I might have a bit of a bias because melodic dubstep stuff always sounds pretty damn generic, and if it were pulled from the unnecessary two-step beat and overly noisy snares, it might be easier to enjoy it. But it's trying too hard IMO. Don't get me wrong, it has some great elements all huddled together, it's just the elements they chose to mingle altogether at once just feels dull, and lacks luster. 6/10.

4/10, not feeling this one at all. Little development and not an awful lot going on.

Bump because this thread is just so fucking awesome.
7/10, good hook but seems a bit minimal and drags on a bit. |

Re: Rate The Song Above You
6/10 - Sabaton is ok, but I thought the structure was a bit Pop-like, and not a lot of energy seemed to be put into it.

Re: Rate The Song Above You
This reminded me of a much darker Liquid Tension Experiment (acid rain), which was pretty sweet. Also reminded me of Super Meat Boy dark world music. Some good stuff going on and I'm really glad there's not a bunch of fat tattoo'd guys sounding like they're gurgling raw meat in their throats. Not at all my usual style but this is pretty sweet. 7.5/10 ~

Haven't posted here in a while so why not. I really love that song Spenner! It kind of reminds me of Dirty Androids a little bit. Especially Everglades, but this song is slightly more upbeat. Loved it. 9/10

Re: Rate The Song Above You
I don't think you get how this thread works, Jonlovesddr.
Anyway, DragonIIDX, Non-Combustible Waste is one of my favorite songs on Speed Ball Z and a really cool frenchcore song. The breakdown is silly and I even recognize some of the tunes used, but when it picks up again, I do think it drags on a bit too much. The kicks used and the breakdown are really cool though. I give it an 8/10. This song is a hardcore/crossbreed song I first heard during the dj producer's live performance at defqon.1 2011, but I didn't figure out what song this was until about half a year later. First half has some pumping music that's leaning towards breakcore sometimes, second half is just fast-paced madness. Though if you don't like hardcore/breakcore or anything like that, big chance you won't like this either:

Re: Rate The Song Above You
Jonlovesddr: - 2.5/10
This score is based off the lyrical content alone. I didn't even listen to the song, and that's a first for me. It's clear to me Pat Monahan can write a chart-topping song and has done so in the past. Pat also knows how to write memorable lyrics, but for all the wrong reasons; I find myself remembering nearly all of the lyrics in Hey Soul Sister (as an example) to be...weird. I don't know, but I am not a Train fan. To be fair, I never was. Spitfire: - 7/10 Yeah, I'm into breakcore. But I'm not specifically into hardcore. Well, I am...(Hardcore Syndrome, anyone?) but I'm not specifically into this kind of hardcore. and for me, this isn't something that's going to warrant multiple listens. But, I do like it despite that. I can see how someone would like the second part of this song; it's pretty damn intense considering the acid leads layered over what sounds like speedcore kicks (Yeah, I don't know my sounds very well). And if anyone wants to, you can trim this down to about three minutes and it could make an OK Stepmania file. Now for a childhood favorite of mine that I just rediscovered a few weeks ago:
