word scramble
i think it should be a banable offense if someone says the answer in the profile chat. This is like the tokens in my opinion, a game of smarts that pays off. it takes all the fun out of the game if you are stumped and some random person blurts out the answer.
i also think that when youre playing, you dont have to keep on clicking on the box to type in your answer. it should be set up like the profile chat, one click and you can type away. anyone care to agree or disagree on this???

Re: word scramble
I think if its a multiple word answer, the letters of each word should be within the word
for example: rohtn kaadot - NORTH DAKOTA instead of: rkdon taohat - NORTH DAKOTA

Re: word scramble
lol same here
but I think they should be banned because that would just ruin the fun of the game. |

Re: word scramble
That would, IMO, make it -way- too easy to do them. And would drastically increase the frequency with which the proper unscrambled answer was what was randomly generated.

Re: word scramble
Good idea, but it has happened more than once to me where I will click the box to type in the answer like five times in a row and start typing and it'll end up in the profile chat box, where I have to delete it all and then try again to click back on the other box. This would mean for some people to avoid the risk of being banned they would have to choose one or the other to run while on a profile.

Re: word scramble
I do think that the letters being in different words makes it a little harder, but then again, I suck at these things so it doesn't matter. I only have like 35 points, anyway.
I support the ban for giving away answers idea, this is a good thread =) But you know, someone with no life and too much time on their hands is gonna make some website with all the answers, just like with the tokens... Edit: Ninja'd. @redorigami: You could just click "Close Profile Chat" if you're gonna play word scramble.

Re: word scramble
Also, flash works like that. It maintains your focus by window first, then fields inside the window.
If you're chatting in the profile chat, and you want to enter a response to word scramble, first click the word scramble window, then click the text entry box, and voila, you're entering text into the box. I only really noticed having to do that in firefox. IE seems happy to let me click whatever the hell I want and have it work fine, so if you're having that problem in IE, I'm not sure what to tell you. Quote:
