2011 in Review
This year featured a lot of violence, revolution and change. From the Arab Spring in the Middle East, to the Occupy Wall Street Protests, to protests in the UK and other places around the world, revolution came together, and change was sought and accomplished. Wars raged on, and people died. But through this, the message of hope and peace shined through. Compared to 2010 this year was quite a battle. Hope everyone had a good 2011, and here's looking to a better 2012.

Oh my god this is hilarious "Searches for Rebecca Black and related searches like Rebecca Black Friday jumped >10,000% between 2010 and 2011, making the young pop singer the #1 fastest rising search on Google in 2011." |

I've actually never even heard of Battlefield 3, not even kidding rofl. I don't care about shooting games even if they're popular

Re: 2011 in Review
You made some very good points, OP. Not that this is nearly as serious as an issue, but SOPA also caused a lot of drama, and may cause more in 2012 until we find out if it passes or not. I doubt it will.
However, despite all the drama and angst, it was a good year, and I'm ready for another good one to start. :3 See you all in 2012! |

Re: 2011 in Review
Another thing that struck me in this was that for the 2010 in review video at the end, the search bar read along the lines of "What a good year. What's next in 2011?" and in this one, it simply said "We made it". That made me tear up a little.

Re: 2011 in Review
I had a lot of fun this year. Even though there wasn't very happy things going on in the world this year.
Can't quite say I searched for anything other than maybe that Fukushima reactor accident. Last edited by Emithith; 12-31-2011 at 02:33 PM.. Reason: O_o it really is Fukushima like a thought..? |

Re: 2011 in Review
I'm glad this year's over. Usually I look back and smile on New Years' Eve but I can't do that this year. Best of luck and good fortune to all of you in '12.

Re: 2011 in Review
Yeah I know, I just didn't think it was that popular. I mean, I own it but I couldn't imagine it being the fifth most searched thing.
