Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
Oh? Oh!
Yeah, you shouldn't be getting that type of issue, unless your Flash cache isn't being cleared or something. The only thing I can really think of. |

Or... perhaps update Flash to 11? Or whatever the newest one is now?

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
R^3 doesn't save playlists at all, in fact switching to FFR and back to an engine playlist will reload it. If it doesn't it must be a cache issue, might want to try clearing it (in IE I think?)

Though IIRC pop is on OS X, so flash version is probably less of a problem there.

yeah i'm on OS X, lag doesn't change between 9, 10 & 11.

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
tell v3 scramble is the only thing i've played these two weeks, it's so much more fun on scramble than on normal
in other news the omgwtft0k3n gimmick isn't working, i don't know if people are aware of this, but that should really be fixed

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
Idea: When displaying a score at the end, show the % for each judgment.
This makes it easier to compare PA across songs also, a sort feature that lets you sort songs based on a sum of the %'s of all non-perfect judgments (within a difficulty range) It would make it easy and quick to find songs that you have old or bad scores on, and make touching up your avrank effortless was that explained well enough?

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
Screencut, Half done.
That's not possible, since it relies on how AS2 is designed. It's also the reason why TGWP full doesn't have audio. I run code in the level itself and not the engine. Last edited by Velocity; 05-3-2013 at 11:54 PM.. |

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
Screencut! Awesome!
And would it be possible to hardcode in exceptions for certain gimmicked levels? I mean, there are only so many... it's ugly but it'd at least fix the problem. I wouldn't want people taking advantage of the newer engine to AAA omgwtft0ken or similar files with no difficulty.

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
Off the top of my head,
- OMGWTFT0k3N has moving receptors - TGWP full has a special way of playing the music - The Wisest Were Wrong has many gimmicks (some may not work in newer engines?) (and then there's songs like Korean Madness, Reality Hits You Hard Bro, Marisa, p4u v1 and p4u v2 with moving backgrounds which need to work properly)

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 4/13/13]
I noticed a couple things that could be fixed with the beta:
-The timestamp on the beta isn't accurate with the server time. -If it hasn't been brought up already, put an autofail option in R^3. |

Updated the Standalone thread with R3 XML info. If any of the rest of you guys that run engines want yours added, just send me links or post in one of the threads saying so
