the last episode of wolf's rain was soooooo sad i sobbed pretty much when all of the wolves died.
and episode 28 of marchen awakens romance when kannotchi melts from his darkness arm backfiring on him.

The entire anime of Kanon 2006. I swear that anime hits you so hard. I cried over and over during that anime, especially when matoko died and Ayu dissappeared.

A bunch of scenes from Grave of the Fireflies. Like when the kid's mother and father died, when the little girl died, and at the beggining of the movie, the main character dies, then they show his sad, sad life.
Edit: Anyone else notice the bump?

1: when L died in death note
2: end of evangelion, when shinji chokes asuka, and then they are lying on that rock island and she rubs his face. i cried for 3 hours straight.
3:the episode of cowboy beebop: the real folk blues (which i think was the last one) was the most depressing thing ever!
4:Everything related to gunslinger girl is depressing
5:many full metal alchemist episodes made me weep. such as the one where ed and al tell teacher that they tried to bring their mom back to life. and the one untainted child.

This is probably pretty dumb, but the best one I can think of at the moment is in "Shuffle!", around episode 22, where the past memories of Kaede and Rin are unfolded, and Kaede comes to realize the fact that she can't be Rin's girlfriend, as much as she wants to... it's so sad!!!! >_<

...it made me cry...

oh this is such a hard choice to make but i would probably have to say when Light dies at the end of death note. you knew it was going to happen but it was still sad.
