Re: Songs of the Week (June 15, 2013)
Bubble Bath Aftermath is one of those songs that is really fun to play casually, but would probably be the least fun to AAA.
Buzzards...dang that was fast. And that break in the middle is something. I have a feeling that Feelings in the Air will be the least discussed in this thread but I honestly think it's quite fun and probably will end up being underrated. Maybe it's because the music isn't too memorable. Future Destination is a Renard song I actually...like? The complex and fast melody just works perfectly in my ears. This sounds also a bit like NNRT. |

Re: Songs of the Week (June 15, 2013)
Even though I am kind of disappointed there aren't 6 songs (even though this is stuff from the latest batch, right?) and there are no veteran songs, I'll review the songs anyway because there were some decent releases this week.
Bubble Bath Aftermath: This one was probably my favourite file from this week. It flowed really nicely. The easy first half of the song was a really nice buildup for the harder second half of the song. I really liked that. Buzzards: I had some fun playing this one. The only improvement I would say really needed to be made is if there were steps in that vocal part, then the file would make more sense and feel less empty. Feelings From the Air: This one was ok. I'd play it again, not much else to really say about this one. Future Destination: As much as I disagree with putting more Renard/furry songs in FFR, this was actually a pretty fun stepfile to play. |

Re: Songs of the Week (June 15, 2013)
Bubble Bath Aftermath - nothing appealing about this one really, gets repetitive after a bit
Buzzards - a very different approach to stepping breakbeat, which worked out nicely imo; although there are some patterns that didn't play so well (the one-handed 32nd flams). no one will understand the true intention behind the break in the middle Feelings From The Air - decent file, felt like some minijacks would have been cool Future Destination - probably my favorite renard file in this game, the jumpstream flowed well and the patterns were overall nice to hit. good job

I must be the only one who thinks Future Destination is lot harder than the other two 70s.

Re: Songs of the Week (June 15, 2013)
Just posting to say that I absolutely loved Future Destination! The streams / JS had wonderful flow and the file was pretty consistent the whole way through.
I also enjoyed Bubble Bath Aftermath, although some of those later sections could be run killers. Though potential AAA trouble aside it was fun to listen to and enjoyable to play along with.
