Re: itt we do new reviews of old packs
okay
so it turns out SMGpack2 really isnt that bad (Ossa) Almsty's OP - overlong and pretty uninteresting but does what it can. would have been much better with a cut. (Kn33) Ave de Rapina - I really like some of the accents here, but ruined by overly heavy and long freeze usage. also 12th stops **** up the timing on the hands and wreck my score D: (HST) Blythe - simple but very effective. 24th patterns seem random? (Ossa) Bossman - this file is freaking fun (Patashu) Bumpy Genital - nobody does dnb like Patashu does. straightforward and just hard enough to be replayable (Necros) Butekkai - Necros always has a very pragmatic way of stepping that looks simple but catches the depth of his songs well. same goes here. copy+paste+additional layering looks very sloppy and some of the long freezes interrupt the flow, but overall one of the better files in the pack. (Tsuka) Cave Story - awesome. freezedumping works well with chiptunes, gotta say (GLoVE) Confined - interesting use of left-hand bias here but not so much fun to play. feels weird at parts because the file's so sparse but the patterns are so hard (Kil) Creamy - cute (Yesssss) Cruisin' - classic file (Ossa) Destination - quit out at the part with the horrific jumps layered into long jacks. that said, the freeze followed by a note gimmick was effectively used in some parts, but it still mostly felt like overkill. (Ossa) El Telefono - this is my favorite file from Ossa. easy, chill, and freeze parts flow nicely. (Kn33) Fear - this is my favorite file from Kn33. beautiful file will do more later |

Re: itt we do new reviews of old packs
These old packs aren't old enough. The only ones I ever played were KBMP and F5. :3

Re: itt we do new reviews of old packs
i downloaded Xoon 3 again recently, so here's a review of it
250BPM - lul roar u sneaky devil, all the 32nds/64ths was gay so uh 4/10 Beautiful Angel - woah where did trance_core go? this file was really awesome, sure the technical stuff was iffy but this was really fun to tap out 8/10 BLN - really cool file, old schooled. really cool but not really anything outstanding about it 6/10 candy rape - ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the patterns were so bland i passed out on my keyboard 2/10 cirno's perfect math class - this was neat too but the 8th jumps were kinda not necessary 6/10 CONTRACT - raar raar this files so hard but replayable and perfect for scoring 7/10 d-code - i can tell this is old from you moches xd however it still is pretty fun and the song itself didnt have much you could do with it, 6/10 danse macabre - hate to do this but this was the best file in the pack to me 9/10 dazzling destiny - i forgot puppet made files for this. this was really cool overall, nothing wrong or bad about it. some parts were ~too technical~ but it was cool 8/10 deathkenkai - Vospi goodness. it was overall solid, and the type of patterns i'd expect from him. not really my cup of tea though 5/10 Epidermis - HARD WTF/10 evergreen - hey i remember playing this, its still cool now and was cool then, 8/10 Feast for eternity - no ffff - ffff no Garyo - this was cool too 6/10 hand throw - i prefer alexdest's version now :'( but its not awful but not that great, 5/10 Heart of Witch - THIS FILE IS REALLY OLD 1/10 and thats all i played of it :'(
