Was told something to the effect of "Well the picks are easy, of course people are getting those scores." Apparently it's pointless to argue it so whatever..let the battle for second continue.

You didn't PM me until this round. I can't remember what all has been said in the thread at this point if you said it here before that.

Re: Psychoangel691's One Division Higher Tourney
@RedBlaster tip for improving. find a song that you've seen someone else get an insanely good score on that you know you can't beat. for me that was 600 AD in Piano. lol my cousin made that song look easy, and I couldn't even tell what was going on. Continue to play at your own skill level, but whenever you play this game, try that song at least once. Eventually you'll start to notice patterns and improve not only in your current skill level, but also much higher skill level. Took me playing that song like, over 100 times to finally FC it. Just keep at it and you'll get there

I trying my hardest to get at least a sub-15 score for D6 and the best I got is 16-1-2-4 at the moment :\
Won't post scores yet cause I'm still going to try to beat it but I might get knocked out these rounds due to illness And thank you for the kind words, it helps

It's really hard to explain everything looked at when placing a player. This is just sorta a short idea of some things that would make someone D3. Last edited by psychoangel691; 09-25-2014 at 03:13 PM.. |

Re: Psychoangel691's One Division Higher Tourney
just coming in here to be really blunt (yet again in a different tournament this time): Red Blaster -- your attitude is absolutely terrible. Stop having this shitty defeatist attitude and actually learn to try.
You gave me shit in the RPG tournament about how you deserved more credits as 3rd seed in the tournament despite having a terrible build, and got pissed when people like me managed to get large gains for taking risks. If you're going to complain this much about a user who is busting their ass to improve, you really should stop in tournaments; that's what competitive FFR is about -- it's about making gains in short periods. EDIT: while I'm at it, I'd really like you to explain how your counts are substantially worse on Thinking Different than they are on this given that the second one is overall faster both in 16ths and 24ths, and the second has actual streams of 24ths as opposed to the short bursts in TD this is my official "you're full of shit and not trying hard enough" post, if you couldn't tell already Last edited by TC_Halogen; 09-25-2014 at 05:00 PM.. |

Re: Psychoangel691's One Division Higher Tourney
What I like about this tournament set up is that it really challenges the players to play the two types of charts they should playing to get better: the ones around their skill level, and the ones a notch above. I've found flailing through FGO's or trying to AAA easier charts don't really improve my skill. My gains have been slow and steady, a reason for my very high GT. I was D1 back in 2007 and D2 by the time the site went down. After the site came back up, I've gradually worked my way into D4.
Just keep focusing on charts at and just above your current level, as this tournament is providing. Get scores and improvements that you can take pride in. I was happy that I improved my old 80-90g FC on valhalla to low 40's raw score wise, even though that score was beaten. |

I am happy, today I got 1 (very stupid, and shouldn't have happened) miss on Dead and Direct in MP earlier. Quite happy, and would've been my highest FC (non-mashed, like Vs Boss) huehue

Re: Psychoangel691's One Division Higher Tourney
This song is ridiculous
And also impossible to listen to Edit: Also I may note that if anyone's playing the game with the intent to get better, they should all be out of D1 in less than a month. D2 to D3 is around the same timeframe if you keep at it, playing all of the harder stuff. Trust me I'm trying to do the same up in D5 (I was D1 a year ago) Last edited by Deidara837; 09-25-2014 at 06:11 PM.. |
