Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 6/14/13]
Hey guys I'm not sure on Flash Player 10 or 11, but on 9 there's no accuracy suggestion. Just a heads up on a glitch that can be fixed. I've tried this on multiple songs, and gotten the same "suggestion"

Accuracy check doesn't work in 30 fps

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 6/14/13]
Suggestion: Any way something can be implemented where you can move the judgment (Perfect) up or down? The file could be easier to read for some people if it got lowered down a little.

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 6/18/13]
Moar update, just because. This time backgrounds have been added to fps mode! Which sucks but also means scores obtained can now be recorded and saved to the server. A few minor things were also fixed like the mouse cursor disappearing in editor mode, rates saving across to Flash 9 mode, and accuracy calculations in 30fps mode. Note that currently decimal offsets do not work in fps mode, but they may be re-enabled in a future update. Also keep in mind that some songs still start abruptly in fps mode (as mentioned: Autumn Insomnia Session, The Big Crunch, likely a few others) so, uh, don't get too mad when you encounter one (but feel free to add missing songs to this page, I'd like a list of them just in case I need to fix them manually).
WARNING: This update may freeze on loading User Data. If this happens to you, clear your browser cache. Standalone users can clear their IE cache or add garbage like "?blah" to the end of the link to fix it. 06/18/13 • Background images and videos now work in FPS mode, on rates, etc. • Scores in FPS mode are now recorded Quote:
Hm, this is a bit tricky because it's an overlay that has nothing to do with the game's state. I guess it could get a bit annoying though...

@Arch
I'm noticing a weird bug on my end. There seems to be a delay when starting songs. For example, in MASCARADA, the song suddenly accelerate at the start. After the first note it returns to normal. I'll continue testing, and update this if I find it happening with anything else. If you want, I can post a video to show the lol'z.... ...I'm just full of problems huh? lol

There should be a seperate thread to organize what songs are bugged with the new timing if using FPS, dohoho.

Here, have a publicly editable Google doc then.
To make it more obvious here have a bold message: everyone please go add songs that start sped-up to the link above rather than posting them here, kthx I try

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 6/18/13]
at >30 FPS, w/ Amazing accuracy turned on, there is quite a flash w/ every note hit. It makes it tough to read if it was amazing or perfect, and just muddles up the screen a bit. Any chance you could tone it down the same as in 30fps?
also, in the options screen, pressing the allocated keyboard restart key starts the song but doesn't close the options window. plus, the mouse then disappears

@pop, I don't really see what you're talking about haha
I propose for scores to record if you get it on a rate higher than 1.0x, would be nice to play those 4 minute rock songs on 2-3x while cleaning levelrank. Dunno what other people would think of this tho.

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 6/18/13]
the flash is sort of a glow around the 'amazing' or 'perfect'. so makes it tough to read the accuracy and just adds extra visual noise

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 6/18/13]
Not in favor of the high rate scores recording... I would think sometimes a higher rate can actually be beneficial.

I'm not sure if I agree with that. Could you give maybe like, an example of where it would be useful? I mean, maybe for like, to fix frame gaps in rolls and stuff, but there's still the fact that you /are/ playing the song faster.

Personally I'm not against it, since I don't really play for stats these days lol. I would much rather have it allowed to accumulate GT but not count towards your ranks though. Last edited by EzExZeRo7497; 06-18-2013 at 09:49 AM.. |

Re: Beta Engine: R^3 [Updated 6/18/13]
basically, rates squeeze arrows together which makes them faster. Most often, 1-2 frame gaps will convert to 1 frame gaps or 0.
skeletor wall would be so much easier. |
