Re: James May's Wheel of Arrowsmashing II
kind of a bump, but sponcon is over and here are the results:
D1 Genres: Classical, Misc., misc. Notes: 2,241 D2 Genres: Arcade, Classical, Dance 2 Notes: 3,273 Winners: jductape (D1) & MrPreggers (D2) congrats you guys you will each earn your 12.5k credits (12.5k + 12.5k = 25k as stated in the contest) at the end of the tourney and keep an eye out for more sponcons to come. And remember people, this round ends on Sunday @ 4:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time so please communicate with your teammates that have not submitted yet. I'll try to send out notification PMs on Saturday so that they have plenty of time to submit their scores. Another announcement in regards to inactivity, if your teammate does not submit for two consecutive rounds, they will be eliminated. What does that mean? yes it will be harder for you guy that might be a man short but do not fear, I will double the score of whoever has the highest score for the team (so if let's say Team 1 in Division 1 is short of a teammate and Valrog gets the highest score on one of the three songs in round 4, that score he has will be doubled in the team total for that song and so forth). Keep on smashing those keys people and remember, communicate with your teammates~ |

Re: James May's Wheel of Arrowsmashing II
Sweet! First sponcon victory ever for me
For the two rounds that someone is absent, will the highest score be doubled or does that only start when the absent player is eliminated?

Re: James May's Wheel of Arrowsmashing II
Wouldn't it be more fair to take the average of the two scores, or something like that, and use that for the missing person?

Re: James May's Wheel of Arrowsmashing II
That's what I thought at first, but a team with a dq player has a lot of catching up to do after missing six whole songs so they would need an advantage of some sort to make up for their losses. At least that's my interpretation of the situation.

Re: James May's Wheel of Arrowsmashing II
Ah, cumulative scores? Sorry, I guess I didn't read closely enough on how the scoring is working. Makes sense then.

Re: James May's Wheel of Arrowsmashing II
Sorry I just have time for single-playthrough placeholder scores today. I know I can do better on all of these when I give them some time. Hopefully that will be late Saturday or early Sunday before the round ends.
Edit: Good job femanic and MetalAtlas. With these scores I think we are in fairly good standing so far.
