How the fuck: A noob asking questions to smarter people
Hey guys. I want to make music, simple enough right? Well idk how the fuck.
I want to be able to hook some sort of keyboard to my computer, be able to choose what tone I want through my computer, and be able to record it. I don't know how to do that or anything about music production really. I downloaded fl studio and reason but I really don't know how to use those at all. I also have a guitar with a guitar jack to USB thing. How would you guys recommend I make some music with those wants. Any sort of equipment recommendation, and software recommendation is much appreciated, along with some tutorials to help a kid out. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks.

I think the big problem is timing things. I with it had a bit more snap because for instance, I want a few off beat things, but I need to just kinda float the notes to get it right. iunno it's hard to describe. Maybe it just takes me getting used to the program.

Oh and inputing the notes. It would be nice to be able to just hit a key on a piano and it be like "oh ok you want that"

Idk, I never really got used to FLs interface.
I like a good old Grandstaff, but most programs that are dedicated to actual music notation are for classical only with poor playback features I feel sort of stuck myself with a different problem entirely. |

=== I kinda diddle around in Sibelius but yeah, the playback is pretty lacking there. Maybe if I made something in that and then converted it to FLStudio somehow iunno.
