Game setup

The game will have a very basic mafia setup: 3 mafia members, 9 vanilla townies and 1 cop. The cop starts the game with a random vanilla townie peek. Roles revealed upon death.

Some communities are not very used to playing basic setups like this, but for the first season, we utilized a setup with a good share of power roles, so this time around we are trying something new. For season 3 we will switch it up again.

Days will last 36 hours and nights 12 hours, meaning 48 hours (2 days) per game day. With one exception: The weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will be one game day (so day will be 60 hours and night 12 hours on weekends). This means the game will last a maximum of 2 weeks.

Wolves (Black Hats)

Sysadmin (Master Wolf)
Is able to send a message to the Greyhat each night phase, the Greyhat will recieve their message at the start of the day phase.

Network Sec (Researcher)
Targets a user during night, learns that user's item history and what item they recieved.

Traffic Monitor (Roleblocker)
Blocks the use of an item.


Greyhat x 1 (Modified Corrupt Doctors)

Greyhats are unable to be killed during the night, but can be lynched. Targets users during day phase, if a user has an item then that item is removed from the game at the start of night phase before items are shuffled. Is not killed by bomb. If they target a traitor before the traitor activates their power, traitor is removed from the game. If they target a traitor after the traitor activates their power, nothing occurs (but is notified that that person is a traitor). Is able to send a message to the Master Wolf each day phase, Master Wolf will recieve their message at the start of night phase.

Items are shuffled randomly at the start of each night phase.

Keylogger - Seer (Aware)
Targets a player at night, learns that player's alignment.

Phisher - Traitor (Aware)
Can choose whether to accept this item or not. If accepted, the item is removed from the game and the user gains Traitor powers. Seered as green. If rejected, the item is shuffled at night with the other items. When traitor is activated, wolves are notified.

Traffic Analyzer - Coroner (Triggered)
Is notified when an item is removed from the game, and when a wolf is lynched.

False Positive - Miller (Unaware)
Is seered red.

Rootkit - Bomb (Unaware)
Kills the wolf that targets them for night-kill.

Trojan - Weak Doublevoter (Unaware)
Is killed at night when targeted by anyone other than a Greyhat. Day votes count as two votes.

Wolves - Reach parity with town
Humans - Kill all wolves + traitor if traitor is activated.
Neutral - Remove three items from the game.

Items are shuffled randomly at the start of each night phase. If there are less humans than items remaining, some items will fail to be shuffled.

Seer > Coroner > Traitor > Miller

Example: if there are 3 humans left and all items are still in play, miller will not show up.

Please take note of the special endgame mechanics:
- The mafia or werewolves win if they obtain a full majority of living players, or if they make up half and at least one protown role is still alive.
- If the mafia and werewolves ever make up equal numbers, with no protown roles left alive, then mafia win. Mafia also win if a day phase begins with one mafia, one werewolf, and one protown.
