Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
an all encompassing file typically won't be as hard as files that are driven towards one particular skill
you can't have an extremely hard file that tests things at an extreme level without being dumpy -- the hardest file in D6 tests a ton of speed, the second one is bursts, RA is bursts/jacks/speed (EVERYTHING separately really, since the 32nd "bursts" are actually mini-streams with no real linear pattern setup), Put Curse is mostly jumpstream as I said, i'm not arguing anymore until my face is blue -- I honestly just want this tournament to end so that I don't have to listen to the complaints because people seriously have no idea how much effort it takes to run this tournament on my own i'd kill to run the official over this - the hardest part is divisional placement and that's not that hard overall -- syncing/uploading 12~18 files is way harder than syncing/uploading 6 files, and manually updating a spreadsheet/listing songs is way harder than having everything automated (since we give people the option to not have to play on the site), and tbh, I'd probably be a lot less susceptible to the complaints if it wasn't for how much time/prep I have to do prior to the start of every round; not to mention I actually try to make sure everything is synced/ready to go because I at least care about making the simfile as playable as possible i'm not upset about people's opinions, I'm just tired of the negativity and I'm entirely burnt out from running this; sorry for sounding frustrated |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
I understand how you feel, believe me. I've been at your house over problems in tournaments before. I completely understand it and yes I also get that a file won't be as hard just focusing on ONE style of skill. What I meant is more variation within a file instead of just ONE style. I'm sorry for my confusing wording as well.
@Razor- God it's good to be back on FFR posting and having little tid bit fights with the likes of you. It almost saddens me that it's with you and not plan this time I missed these days so much. Also @ddrkid, congratulations on winning D6b lol seriously though. I'm quite surprised and waiting to see how OPkiller and YMIA score on this final round because you might "beat" or come damn "close" to them with those scores. GJ dude. |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
It's not hard to make a file that's all-encompassing when it comes to skill. It's hard to find a song that allows you to step that. Let alone a whole tournament's worth.
Edit: There's a reason I mostly step Godspeed

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
A sightread.. of sorts. A shit ton of stupid mistakes.. I'd try to improve but I kinda already gave up lol other file is too stamina draining for me to even pass.

Improved. I'm sort of afraid of what RadiantVibe will get on this.

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
It's more stamina dying after a while than being accurate on Stinger tbh. It's the same with Ascension, I can stay around 15 goods all the way and the ending brutally kill my score. I don't play FGOs enough compared to other top tier players.

Here's something to get you started Haku.
PS the next play I fc'ed, but my raw score was worse. </3 The end, after the quarter note break, is nerve-wracking as hell. o.o |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
That's actually what might be the case. Even on FFR, I have trouble AAA'ing things in the 68+ range but can manage stuff like 13g(+other garbage) on devour. :S
I love when tournaments get to this point, I thrive on songs that are this tough. xP |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
The Big Black is the most fun file that I've played EVER. I can't do well on it at all.. but holy fakk I love it. That being said.. there's no way it's a 45 lol
