Talking Suggestion Updates

Here are some updates and new features I would recommend for the chatrooms of the multiplayer...
First, I propose allowing people to kick and report members from the chatroom specific to where two people are playing. This may entail that there be a listing of who is in the room (also missing from personal chatrooms--good to add).

Secondly, from the lobby point-of-view, it would be nice to know which users are in certain rooms where they are playing, and allow for longer titles. With being able to know which users are in certain rooms, one can find the people they're looking to play with easier, and longer titles would also help.

Thirdly, allow for all keyboard characters to be accepted. Such characters as the underscore are not allowed currently.
Some recommendations for general playing are:
When someone fails out of a song, it would be nice not to be sent straight to the statistics, but instead, continue watching the other player. Then, when both have finished (success or fail), the statistics are shown.

I'm sure most of these are 3rd style features.

1) Yes.
2) Yes, but longer titles aren't necessary.
3) Coding issues or w/e. Chat can't interfere with coding right? <- I have no idea.
4) Yes.
5) Multiplayer will be for more than 2 at a time in 3rd style.

3rd Style is going to be the next huge overhaul of FFR The Game.

Still no ETA though.

The site could use a huge overall... I just found out there are at least 3 different ways to edit a profile--but they don't all keep the same information... that needs to change. I think there should be more unity on the site and its features... plus, when I tried to make an edit... it kept leading me to a third-party un-related site... o_O;;

That's very likely spyware on your computer or something similar. The only other way this could happen is if you click on the ads.

Synthlight owns the website, Tasselfoot and many others help keep it operating.

Also, little tip - Use the edit button. Double posting is actually against the rules in most cases. Especially after only 4 minutes between your posts.

I doubt I have spyware. I keep my computer quite clean. But thnx. Synthlight... Hm. I didn't realize double posting is against the rules... but what is the logic behind it?

I looked up the text on posting.

"Postwhoring: Posting for any reason other than adding content to a thread. An example of postwhoring is looking up the list of most recent threads and adding "yeah" or "i agree" or "lol" to every single thread. Another example is double/triple posting (consecutive posts one after another) multiple times. Posting relevant information into each thread you come across is acceptable. Otherwise, it is considered postwhoring. Simply put, postwhoring is posting simply for the purpose of posting, not for adding anything to the discussion."

I added relevant content, so I believe that in this case, it was acceptable that I posted twice... let me know if I'm mistaken.

Then try reading the rules before you continue to post. It's one of the first things you should have done.

Also, what do you mean "where is the logic behind it". The simple logic is to stop people from spamming or continually double posting when there is no need for it. FFR has good standards.

Also, "quite clean" isn't "flawlessly clean".

Well, I know standard rules for forums, as I've been on several, and double posting was never an issue. Therefore, it came as a surprise that this site has that rule. And if you noticed, I edited that post after I thumbed through it. I realize that it's to fight spam. That makes sense. I didn't know if there was more to it--that's all. And I don't want to stray this discussion thread from what it's really about--the needed updates to FFR... not the status of my computer.

The logic behind it is that there is no need to make another post when you could simply edit your last post. Every forum I've been on (all kinds) has frowned upon double-posting.

P.S. Welcome to FFR.
