Re: Dueling Network
I've made a couple of decks off DN and I have my own account there, but I don't go there much anymore just because the community is quite toxic when it comes to winning/losing/rulesharking, and it's the same with the volunteer judges & admins that run the place. There are tons of videos on youtube pleading against inproper admin & ruling actions by the people there, same going for players.
The only real great thing I see about it is a friends list, and being able to play with friends you do know off the internet. Playing for ranking is just going to become a game of my word vs your word. Last edited by gold stinger; 03-17-2015 at 05:40 PM.. |

Re: Dueling Network
Yeah, having the friends list is great, or even unrated matches for whatever is nice too. Some admins are just shit anyways, and I've proven them wrong several times.
Also, more Rage Quitting Fun! LOL

Re: Dueling Network
That's exactly what I meant by honor system being it's biggest problem.
The people who don't like losing and wont acknowledge your plays or etc. If the ui was more automated this wouldn't be an issue at all.

Re: Dueling Network
If enough people do this we should do a tournament for credits. XD Then again I'd probably wreck everyone cause of Nekroz BS.

Re: Dueling Network
I usually think outside the Ophion box with Evilswarm though. Nearly topped a regional cause of it.

Re: Dueling Network
Your locals too? I don't even go to mine anymore. People are intentionally so toxic. Besides, 80% of the community have converted to DBZ. Yeah, the card game.

Re: Dueling Network
I'm a poser.
I bought the DBZ cards but never really actually played or even bothered learning how to. Plus I was like 11 at the time

Re: Dueling Network
I don't think anyone actually played it back then, like Pokemon... Seemed like not a lot of people played, just collected and traded. I see Pokemon being played more now than ever, at least around here. Me being one of them.

Re: Dueling Network
Pokemon was too slow-paced..kinda similar to Magic's mana with its energy cards
I can only think of one time I ever actually played it

Re: Dueling Network
Kanzas one day we should play. I picked up DN one day because my friend told me Yugioh went full ape shit retarded with the meta (it was the Edrag/prophecy) meta. I learned the meta and then used my friends spare deck in a tourney to win him a play mat. That said I don't actually own any yugioh cards minus my very ghetto middle school exodia deck (i'm still surprised I got by through all of that without the deck getting jacked).
I don't play yugioh anymore so I have no idea how the newer (still old) cards work or there rulings so I'm still very slow when playing (Generally I'll just assume everything you do is legal; don't cheat me). I still fool around with different exodia builds in DN so prepare for solitaire.
