Re: 2008 Presidential elections
By the way, a lot of presidents drank, and some were alcoholics.. So why should it matter if this guy smokes?

Re: 2008 Presidential elections
Ok well first off to this will be my first time voting for the President. But we still need to look at who are they going to pick for running mates that could be a final decision for many americans. As of right now the 2 people in front are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Now is the United States ready to have a female as a President or are they ready to have an African American as a President? I think they are both huge topocs that could ultimately be the deciding factor for many americans

Re: 2008 Presidential elections
A lot of the opinions I've heard are that since so many people don't like Bush's overall job that the public is going to be more likely to vote democratic in the election. The problem is that with a woman and someone named Obama as the frontrunners, the more thickheaded and ignorant voters might prefer a white male purely out of tradition.
I don't really call myself loyal to a party, but to the person, and at the moment I don't see a problem with any of the candidates, except for some random things I've heard about McCain, so I'm still wide open here. ps this'll be the first presidential election I can vote for.

Same. Going to vote Obama myself.
Umm, I haven't really heard any of the issues that matter at the moment so I'm going to wait in a couple of weeks to see where things really go in the race. EDIT: That above comment proves the theory that America might not be ready for a female or African American president but hey, if Dungy can win Super Bowl XLI, Obama can win presidency. =P

Jesus, I remember voting in the last election...
P.S. My avatar is a giant sarcastic joke. I like Obama and I will probably vote for him.

Re: 2008 Presidential elections
I don't realy see why everyone cares about Obama being African and Hillary (Starts booing and throwing tomatoes) being female. I vote based on policy, not race or gender.

Democratic race for president
Yesterday I was watching the news and it mentioned that Hilary Clinton and Barrack Obama, I think that's how you spell his last name, are running against each other for being the candidate for the presidential race that's coming up. So I was thinking, if Barrack wins, we might have our first black president. If Hilary wins, we might have our first female president. So, that means that even if Hilary wins or it Barrack wins, each one of them will make history. So, what do you think? If you could vote, which one would you choose, the first female president or the first black president, or will you vote the republican way? You tell me.
P.S I would probably vote for Barrack. |

Re: Democratic race for president
I'd almost never vote for a Republican, and I'd prefer Hillary, since I don't really know much about them, but that's who my parents seem to favor lol.

Re: Democratic race for president
To be honest with you, I REALLY dislike Hillary. I have no idea what it is about her, but Obama definietly has my vote if he makes it. I hope he does.

Re: Democratic race for president
Why is this in Media? I'm just going to merge this with the existing thread in CT.
Also: not a chance in hell that I'm voting for either of them, and an equally small chance of my voting democrat. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |
