Where is the love?
Hey everyone. I started playing FFR about a year and 3 months ago. In that time i absolutely fell in love with the community. Everyone was always so nice, and they took the time to sit and play a game with you, and ask how you've been. I met strangers who talked to me like i was someone they had known for ages. Most of the people on this site i still to this day don't know on a first name basis, yet i can still talk to them about life, help them sort out their troubles, and have them help me with mine. I felt like everyone in this fairly small community was like a big family. Because we are all here for one thing, the love of the game. But recently i've seen a lot of hostility amongst players. Its starting to make me feel uneasy among the community, and i feel like it needs to stop. I'm not the greatest player, but i can honestly say that EVERYONE in this community has something to be proud of. Whether you AAA'd 99.9% of all public songs in the game, or just managed to finally Full combo Free Space after an hour of playing on your first day, you have something to be proud of, and you accomplished something. We all have hardships in our lives, and im sure we would all love to just spend a few hours on FFR where we can just sit and catch up with friends that we may never meet in real life. We all need a place where we can just get away without any fighting or conflicts. So friends, i look forward to seeing you all progress in your goals, i hope you can learn to set aside differences and work harder to make yourselves more compatible with the rest of YOUR community. Because this is our community. You guys are a family to me, and family's fight from time to time, but they learn to forgive and make up. So i hope you all have a beautiful night, or day depending on where you are in the world, and Happy Key-smashing!

Re: Where is the love?
For the mostpart, I'm totally willing to forgive and forget whatever anyone has done to me. I'll admit that I've done things that I later looked back at and said to myself that I would never do again. This community is awesome, and like you said, I'd like to see it remain awesome~

Re: Where is the love?
Honestly this place is way calmer than it was for a while. At one point there was just constant flaming and trolling going on around here. Once in a while these things pop up and I think just like with anything people just have these moments. I mean everyone has arguments with someone once in a while no? Maybe it's just me lol.
But glad to see you like the community, we could use some more people around and posting more. |

Re: Where is the love?
I mean for the most part when I see people not getting along, someone has done something to deserve it.

Re: Where is the love?
Gotta agree! The great majority of the people on this site are so uplifting and encouraging and I noticed that from day one.

Re: Where is the love?
I blame all recent hostility on Tim Allen. His shenanigans have greatly upset the harmony and stability that has always characterized the FFR community. #ExpelTimAllenfromFifferParadise

Unfortunately, discord is a two-way street. If someone is being a total asshat and it's negatively affecting other users, it's up to everyone else to call them out on it to prevent
from happening.

Re: Where is the love?
I remember the discussion that we had in Profile Chat relatively recently. You were a pretty cool person to talk to and I was actually really happy with the fact that you were not only proud of how well you did in the official tournament in D2 (up against a number of adversities given that you had to struggle your way through early on), but also happy about progressing up a division in a user tournament.
We need more players that are happy to improve and be considered a higher competitive class, not more who consistently have issues with their standing. |

Re: Where is the love?
ffr is like high school and like high school people bump heads and arguments happen. middie tried hitting on rebirths gf i love you and halogen saw so he told hi19 about but hi19 already knew because he saw middie getting too friendly with her the other day and has been telling everyone about it. bmah tried to calm things down by saying that it wasnt what it looked like and hi19 was just making it seem more than it was but then kommisar told bmah to stop being such a nerd and go do something with his life because no one likes a calm carla and he got mad and left to go tell a counselor. meanwhile darkshark is lying about the car his parents just bought, the group that hands by the dumpsters is starting a shouting match with kids in the commons and all the potheads are raiding the cafeteria.

Re: Where is the love?
The FFR community is still good in my opinion. Nothing is absolutely perfect.
