don't make this into stepdramamaniaz when he's made what most people could agree as two of the best and most replayable stepmania packs ever made

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
Sending in Mudkip (it is released but since my external died I don't have the file with the gfx oops ...)
Other files to be sending (once I'm done with them >_>...) 1. Christmas in Hollis (collab with Bynary Fission) 2. For Metro City (collab with Ferrari) 3. Light Years (Original Mix) (will submit it once I cut it/reduce the mines in it. Will probably add in 3 more charts to it sinced I'm already working on Standard) 4. Concert Paraphrase on "Dearly Beloved" (gonna probably take the longest because on how much I love to sync pianer files huehue, also, I need to do this all over again because my comp died when I was stepping this ;_;...)

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
here are some more reviews
i have only played these a couple of times and i havn't looked at them in the editor yet so this will not be nearly as thorough feedback as i did with the xoon6 files. i felt i had to get judging the xoon6 files out of the way first so i could get going on your submissions! i was thinking that all the submissions i got within the first day would definitely suck, i mean who can make a really good file in just a day? but im guessing many of you have spent a lot of time on these earlier because some of them are really good A Q Children - hard alright lol. its either fast 8th jumps with the occasional 16ths or color note rolls to bursts. it completly lacks variety and i dont see that much hope for this song chipscape - also lacks variety, so much the same beats and so much copy paste. but at least this one has potential. be more creative and try to have more variety and try again, take your time with this file, the pack will be running for long. contact - awesome. really fun file. all of it is really fun and the end is so amazing, the style of the file changes completly twice in the last minute lol i love it, so good. the only thing about this file is that it has that long silent part three times in it. cutting the second one should be easy, i can do this for you if youd like. contact me about it and i'll look it through in the editor as soon as possible ill forget you - its really good. the part with the minijacks to the lead melody is mega-awesome. but i think the rest of the minijacks should be made differently because i even doubt they are consecutive notes, but that's not my main issue with it, the problem is that it makes the calmer parts of the song that doesn't have that awesome minijack-lead-melody look the same as the part that does. i think we can look at some of minor things in this one as well. go through it yourself and then resubmit it to me and i'll look at it in the editor and we'll finalize it reefer man - hahaha awesome, but i think there's a lot of room for improvement on this one. its a bit offsync and i think the piano could be stepped more in many parts to make it more fun. take some time to look it through, then resubmit to me and i will look it through in the editor rome is where the art is - it has good and fun parts, but mostly it's too simple and easy while being a long song. the not so interesting parts repeat a lot too. also has a ton of technical errors. it would be a better file if the song was cut but i dont really see any light at the end of the tunnel for this file since it doesn't have a really climactic part tzuicha-cha - FANTASTIC. i will look at it in the editor some time this weekend. this file will surely be accepted

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
lol AQ Children
8 measure long 270ish bpm 32nd walls, at least that's how I'd have stepped it heh p.s. its a really repetitive song why are you trying to submit such a thing to super-technicalmanias pack, submit to FFR instead

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
dunno why people are complaining about having files rejected
this isn't a FFR Season Pack, ladies and gentlemen. you have to think about your files, play them multiple times, iron out awkward parts, make it overall fun. think about it this way. how many files are still played from odipacks 1 and 2, and how many files are still played from, say, ffr summer '11 and '12?

If FFR summer '11 and '12 had been released at the same time as ODI1/2 I'm sure they would have had at least similar playcounts --------- Question, but are you planning on forcing incorporation of easier charts? It's been a recent initiative to cater to newbie/less-skilled players. Also are you gonna judge the whole pack by yourself?

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
Just some random 'stats' on my own preferences if you will:
That being said the appeal doesn't come from quality at all but target audience is based on song choice and song intensity. ODIPacks cater to someone like me who particularly likes metal, swing, techy beats, and most importantly -DIFFICULT FILES-. The other huge turn-off for me is mines. For me personally, that's what determines replay value. There's no question that FFR Summer 2012 files were charted well; however, the song choice really kills it for me in addition to nonsensical amounts of mines to make a boring chart more difficult :s. I don't think Glove is being 'elitist' when he makes rejections on these files, I think he just has a different target audience in mind than the people submitting the files. the community has developed quite a bit recently. ever since the light chancellors packs way back in the day the "elitism" attitude has pretty much been broken down. it's been shown that just about anyone can make decent charts, and this fact alone makes it very difficult for any sort of elitism to re-emerge, as an elitist movement needs to have a reason or cause to back it up however, right now we really push the community in a different direction. as I've mentioned before in my ffrcp4 notes, the community is taking the "new-school" charting styles well, but it's doing so at the cost of other important factors, like control over note density, transcription accuracy, and smooth pattern flow. this is because people are trying to be fancy before mastering the fundamentals, so reverting back to a more "oldschool" technical style is something the community needs tl;dr don't fight it, embrace it
