Re: Token Songs
Referrals are when people mention the username of someone that referred them to the site. So they aren't really good or bad.

Shash, did you win/lose the argument about whether or not to be able to transfer tokens?

Re: Token Songs
When you buy an online game you find people who hack it, but not everyone. If you were to give everyone who has the game action replay or something there would be much more hackers. That being said, if you don't allow the secretes to be said much more people will try and figure it out on there own. So its not pointless because not everyone is going to search for ffrcheats.com.

We really don't care about private communication. Just public ones, like an chat room lobby or the forum.

Re: Token Songs
How do you know when you found a token song? Does a pop-up appear saying "YOU HAVE FOUND THE TOKEN SONG! CONGRATULATIONS!" or do you have to check the token page after you look at every single page, back and forth?

Re: Token Songs
I think this is basically based on the honor system. Those who want to make it a sort of game for themselves can figure it out themselves. Those who don't and want to cheat their way into being able to play token songs will communicate via AIM or PM's or some other method to get their answers.

Re: Token Songs
Will it be against the rules if you say, "Oh message me at blahblahblah on AIM for how to get tokens!!" in multi/chat/forum?

Re: Token Songs
There are two aspects to this token system: 1) figuring out what action gets a token, and 2) being able to perform that action. Some people will find more fun/challenge in the first aspect, some in the second. Simply knowing how to get a token doesn't necessarily mean you *will* be able to get one, so I don't see a major problem with talking about the how. That alone doesn't get you the token. And I'd be willing to help out others if I could (but I can't right now). However, public talk on how to get tokens has been banned, so people who would like to share info will have to do it by some private method. But that seems to be all the admins are concerned with -- keeping the information from becoming public on this site. *shrug*

Re: Token Songs
I think this depends on weather or not you know HOW you got the token or weather it just pops up randomly when you click on the token genre. I wouldn't know because i haven't gotten any.

Re: Token Songs
Everyone's screaming, "how many songs? What are they called?" Haha... it took next to no effort for me to actually find out how many token songs there are. I found out on accident.
Everyone can view their song ranks for the entire list of songs, right? Well, since they are incorporated into the FFR songlist, the Token songs are indeed listed on your ranks, just like Secret songs (whether or not they're unlocked). Furthermore, since everyone with a score of zero is tied, your current rank at that song indicates how many people have actually played the song. Granted, this brings you no closer to actually playing the song. But it's a thought. I'm not going to post the names of the songs or how many exist, it would further expand this already-blatant spoiler; if the FFR coders want to remove the Token songs from the rank list, I'd recommend it be soon. |
