Re: The Wii is Here.
I know right?
GameSpot gave Twilight Princess its lowest review at 8.8 and they are being lambasted by fans everywhere for it. It's a 4chan meme now. 8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8.8 |

Lame, If it were me I'd find the funniest thing being none of the above being a problem until I bought the Wii, then suddenly the world needs a piece of my time.

VC games are as follows: NES: $5 SNES: $8 Genesis: $8 N64: $10 Games are likely priced by generation, hence the reason that SNES and Genesis games are the same price. Turbografx games are not available yet, and thus I cannot confirm an official price. The Wii Browser will be free for 6 months to everybody that owns a Wii. After that, the browser will have to be purchased. Flash is supposed to work on the Wii, but it is supposed to be a separate purchase. Pricing information, or if it will be included free for 6 months as well, is unknown at this time. The Wii is NOT 100% wireless. Didn't you read your manual, Squeek? There's a LAN adapter that allows for a wired connection. However, Nintendo does recommend using a router or the Buffalo adapter, because they're both easier to use. Still, if you don't want to spring for either, you CAN buy the adapter from Nintendo. I'll answer comments as they come in too, because Squeek is getting his info wrong. One thing I didn't mention... Wii has two software updates right out of the box. I know that the first changes the download bar. That particular update may be data management too (SD cards in particular), but I'm not 100% sure of that. The second update adds a little fading channel startup, WiiConnect24 support and options, and other miscellaneous odds and ends I probably missed. As of this post, the most current software version is 2.0U. It has been confirmed that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, meaning online multiplayer will be free. Nintendo has expressed that it would like to keep all of its online-enabled games free, and that is the direction the service is headed in as of right now.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Wii.Nintendo.com = NO WIRED CONNECTIONS AVAILABLE YET. LAN adapter not for sale. Just get a wireless router as it'll be cheaper than this adapter.
Also, those prices were the old prices. I'm not interested in VC so I didn't know they changed them. And finally, nobody knows if Opera is free then must be paid for, or free for those who get it first forever. |

Re: The Wii is Here.
Nobody wants DBZ? Maybe that's why.
Anyway, Red Steel is VERY HARD to learn. Learning Curve takes you through the first mission completely and then some. Good thing there's relatively no difficulty in the game. If you like arcade shooters like Time Crisis, you'll like Red Steel once you get the controls down. It's really fun and you get to learn swordplay early on. Oh, and I'm only three feet from my sensor bar, so someone at six or ten feet will have an easier time. |

A) work on your coordination and learn to keep a steady hand or B)Turn down the sensitivity setting. =P PS Wouldn't it just be possible to plug in a GC controller and play it like that on the wii? |

Re: The Wii is Here.
I couldn't really, I played it at the store. Also, I don't think you can use the old controller for Wii games. Maybe you can, though.

Re: The Wii is Here.
It has already been mentioned that the GC Controller will be used for some Wii games. I heard from a GameStop employee that the Wavebird had been redesigned in a newer, lighter form. I have yet to see this new Wavebird, though. ALSO, SSBB is confirmed to exclusively use the GameCube-style controller, so as not to "alienate those familiar with the control scheme." Hallelujah!
