Re: FFR Suggestions
idk if it's programmable or not, but i'd like to see a search function to hide songs you've already played. would make it easier to play new songs. (i use the velo engine btw)

Re: FFR Suggestions
Why not simply order the song list via song ID? You can easily find the newest songs that way.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Suggestion: allow inverted scoring to be a selectable option within the settings menu of the Velocity engine. I'm not sure how many people know about this, but it's something was put in slightly before Velocity's addition of a scoring autofail (and not attack autofail).
Note the one miss in both screenshots, and take a look at the bottom of the screen both times: The score under this image reflects what you would normally see with this given PA count. However, take a look at what happens when you mouse over the score. In this case, the score reads 60, which is the amount of points you are away from the AAA in raw scoring. A perfect scoring run would have your inverted score as 0. |

I actually agree with that idea AJ. And I actually found out about the inverted scoring a few months ago and thought it was a nice way to keep track of raw scoring.

Re: FFR Suggestions
If it's not too much of a hassle it would be nice to have Default noteskin from stepmania 3.9/3.95 in velocity engine

Re: FFR Suggestions
It's not impossible, except maybe for copyright reasons.
Also could someone make a vector graphic noteskin pack, ideally vector versions of the current noteskins? I resize my screen to be bigger, but the noteskins are bitmaps, so it loses a significant amount of quality. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
You could try contacting stepfile authors and seeing if they would like to step some music that you'd like to see in-game.
You would need to make sure that we have permission to use the music however, or you might be wasting your time.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Suggestion 1:
Make the Permissions Subforum an actual forum, since no one seems to know to look in General Talk (stupid place for it, imo). Suggestion 2: Make .gifs for comments animate. We currently have static images being used. lol (I know, this would probably bump up the comment size by a couple hundred KB per. But it would be nice if we had this.) edit: Quote:

Re: FFR Suggestions
it's not just that, i have a scattered bunch of unplayed songs, and rather than having to dig through my levelranks page to found out which, it's just be nice to sort out all the ones i have in-game.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I think it could be doable? The velocity engine already highlights played songs as well..

Re: FFR Suggestions
damn. i just found out about that (colors are a problem for me >.<), and i came back here to post about it. that being the case though, the engine already recognizes which songs have and haven't been played. so adding a filter option for it shouldn't be impossible.

Re: FFR Suggestions
It might be able to be done, but Velocity's not working on the engine right now as was said and I don't know who else is able to.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Here's an idea for a feature similar to what I think TS has.
When you start a song, the server generates and gives you a random "token". Then, when you send a score for that song, you send the token back with it, and the server uses that to validate the score (checks it's the same chart and username, for instance) and marks the token as already used. Now, with this idea, it would be easy to add a button to send the score again, to help with unrecorded scores. If the score doesn't record, then the token would never be marked as used on the server, so the next time you send the same score it would record normally (and mark the token as used). However, and this is the useful part, if you try to use the button after the score has already properly recorded, the server will notice the token has already been used and refuse to record the score again. So that way we can basically eliminate unrecorded scores, without giving anyone the ability to get credit for the same play more than once.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I just noticed the song preview takes forever to restart when looping, why is that and can that downtime be removed?
Edit:// To clarify Im talking about when you click the listen button |
