Firebird - Not much to say about it but it was a good chart.

Calling Mars - Enjoyed this. Played very nicely.

Baby Still Too Fat - Same as Calling Mars. That ending is easy to rush and pick up a good or two (This is from experience >_>)

The Replicator - Tbh I didn't like this very much. There was a lot of awkward stuff in this file to me. Definetly should be bumped up in difficulty to like a 67 or 68 imo. Song was ok I guess.

Press Start - Not really a fan of this chart. The walls are actually fine for me. First time playing I jumptrilled them all and AAAed them but it was sorta lucky I guess. I was upset to still see that 1234321234321 staircase thing in the file. I don't really like it. Pretty easy to miss in a lot of the jacks.

Shotgun Surgery - I absolutely despise the beginning of this file. I'm getting sick of seeing long rock songs being chosen for D6. Not a fan of this chart.

D1-D3's songs had nice flow and as AJ said, didn't take much of a difficulty jump.

D4's song, wow. This is brutal compared to the last 2 due to the speed of the song, even some weird transitions in there. Really fun file though, flows awesomely.

D5's song is stepped quite well actually, but the roll is pretty rough to AAA. It's possible to do it with just a jumptrill but timing it is also a problem.

D6's song is well... I would say something along the lines of what Spitfire had said. The trills in the beginning are stupid, and I noticed the 12ths weren't supposed to start there yet the first time I played. Difficulty wise for the tourney, this was rigid as ****. I can't start the trills in the beginning correctly about 70% of the time since it takes a lot of control.

I agree that the Press Start staircases are awkward, but remember... the sound they go to is awkward. I think it's appropriate and it's not one of the parts I hate.

So much mad.

And yeah, when stepping Press Start, the staircases were a massive trouble part to step, and I referred with people like Pattershoe, and idk if there was really a better way of stepping it.

And no copy pastes either, i just emphasized left hand jacks like crazy (was worse in previous versions lmao)

D1,D2,D3 - Song choices were pretty enjoyable, charts were fun

D4 - Havent played yet, but the song sounds interesting

D5 - pretty derpy

D6 - Chart would be so much better if you just remove those intro trills, they are beyond stupid.

i know the 1234 to 2143 wall is a /tad/ bit faster than a 48th wall

D1: Not too much of a difficulty curve from last round, but this will be challenging for some D1 players if they're not aware of the beats. It's even more challenging when it repeats itself for the third half of the song with jumps anyone can easily split!

D2: This one I feel is easier from the last chart simply because there's no tricks. BUT, there's a spot where all D2 players should be aware. It's that [1][2][3][4] 32nd roll that comes at ya! This will probably be the struggle area for all of D2, or maybe not. Better brush up on those rolls D2!

D3: Speaking of rolls, D3 also has to brush up on their rolls. The song consists of a lot of running men, so it's a big bang for their buck. Then near the end the song launches two 32nd rolls! Ouch! I'm sure though majority of D3 will master the roll and head on through to Round number four.

D4: Being biased, this chart is definitely not a 64, but this chart IS my new tournament favorite. The chart is very jack heavy and if that wasn't a problem, it throws mini-jacks mixed with 12th note JUMP STREAMS with occasional 24th bursts. This is definitely a big bang from the previous jazzy round. You have to be proficient with both skill sets too, those being able to jack well and to have good reading skills for those bursts. Definitely a challenging chart that will separate players.

D5: This chart is fun, granted if you can master those walls. I'm not quite at the skill level, but from what I played, it plays very well. The song though is a bit "meh." The chart though just flows with it so it's all good. Certainly those walls will be the downfall to some D5 players.

D6: HOL FOK THOSE TRILLS. But that's because I can't do them at all. With that being said, this is pretty fitting for D6. Of course once again it didn't stop the top players from nabbing that AAA on the first day. The rest of D6 though, it's all about how much stamina you have with this chart. The difficulty spikes are only in the beginning it seems, so if a D6 player can get through that part, they will be golden if they have the stamina and consistency throughout this monster of a chart.

PS: D6 is a fun chart, despite me not being able to get a good enough score, lol.

As a mid-ranked D3 player I'm gonna disagree with the diff jump not being 'big'. Going from a 46 that I could almost AAA to a 55 that is way the **** out of my reach really feels like a decent jump ;D

I liked all the files this round, not gonna get into specifics. D4 & D5 have their work cut out for them and those trills in SS are nuts, but I like one handers :3

I think D4 needs some better song choice and charts. I turn off the sound to this song and do better than with sound. Also, chip tunes in general are terrible and need to stop being put in FFR so often. That isn't to say there isn't some decent songs on here that are chip tune.

Just wondering, the D3 song has been rated a 55, am I the only person who thinks that's a little high? The only part I'm really having trouble with is the first 20 notes, and I struggle to AAA things over 45ish usually, but I think when the lag is sorted that this will be getting a low SDG.

I initially had that as a [2][3] trill but then I realized that was really dumb compared to the rest of the file =P

firebird- cool, well stepped, nice job.

calling mars- another cool file, fun.

baby still too fat - really fun, another good file. d3 probably has it the easiest this round in terms of relative difficulty imo

the replicator- this file and song is aweeeesome, sooooo good. it is tricky, but its not thaaaaaat hard, 67 seems fitting imo. only hard part is that transition at like 350 i think, other than that it flows really well, and once d4 plays more im sure the cutoff will become much lower.

press start-lololll difficulty spikes. the annoying thing about this is nailing them all in the isolation engine, but doing it all in one run is a COMPLETELY different story. gonna take luck to nail this one. probably shouldn't have been a tourney file imo, but it's still fun.

shotgun surgery- aww first samurai file i didn't like . i'm just not a fan of the song and it wasn't really fun for me to play, but most other people love it so that's great.

overall- fun round/good files~

Those frame placements, oooooof. I know it's improved, but all I see are the red/yellow/blue notes on the left arrow and I cringe a little.

Good luck nailing that, Andrew.

I was more looking at the pseudo-jump on the right going in, but now that you mention it, yeah, YoshL does seem to have it out for my nether regions.

I'll certainly try, though the cutoff is down to 10 clean and I tend to get that by the staircase.
