Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Hey, I like Miku, and have tried to send the best ones I could find that we have permission to use. If you know some more memorable ones we have permission for, please let me know.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
i think you guys should judge @ 90 files instead of 120
(less workload for judges as well) since assuming 90 files every 2 months, and 3 songs on average per week that's about 24 songs a month, or 48 songs every 2 months (including tournaments) so with roughly a 50% or lower acceptance rate (out of 90), you guys will have just enough files

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Aren't those numbers for 6 songs/week, whether regular or tournament week? 3 songs on regular weeks and 6 on tournament weeks would require a lot less files
90 instead of 120 is a good idea anyhow, or this batch really won't be done before the September period starts, lol

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Just set a date, like, batch closes on the 10th. Give judges a smaller batch to judge if it doesn't fill up.
If you don't get submissions full by then, there's no issue. People can just submit whenever they want (I thought that was the point of this system lol why the rush to fill the batch)

anyhow i think the batch should just be sent to judges after an X amount of time after the beginning of every 2 month 'open period'

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
i'm just like, afraid of using my whole cap for this period.
with the previous system, i could put in my best files, and I knew that next batch, i'd always get those 4 slots if i could send fast enough. now, i'm on the fence, because I want to save some submissions for after this batch is sent and judged, in case i can fix and re-submit other files, but at the same time, I still want to submit a bunch of files. Personally, I think, with the new system, there should be cap changes to reflect how the new system works |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I just finished a song and someone told me it would make a killer chart for FFR. I'm thinking about making a chart for it... Unless a more experienced simfile artist feels like doing it, I mean.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
incentive for people to get songs in for the batch:
tourney songs. faster the batch gets in, more likelihood of official tourney starting sooner |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
^
I hated judging icyworld's Gate Openerz chart, because I really want to see something like that on FFR, but it would require me over-stepping my bounds as a judge to get something that's technically inaccurate in game. It's not going to be easy to come across a song that would make for that kind of brutally draining jumpstream. I wish FFR was structured like osu! or FTB sometimes, lol Robotomy though... I personally can only wish in the future. I spent so long judging that file to make sure that it was technically accurate and it seems like everyone else is just like "nope". *sigh* EDIT: P.S. YOU HEARD IT HERE, SEND YOUR GOOD SHIT IN PLEASE |
