I'm pretty sure that's the case in NK too. I'm sure there are a lot of people faking it, however I would assume most are really that upset over it. Also Korean's are different than North American's, it may sound different because people simply greieve differently in different areas of the worlds or at least in their way of expressing it.

Anyway all I think is going to happen is his son is going to get in charge and NK will continue to do NK things. Buisness as usual.

maybe they're mourning because now no one knows what north korea's future holds, besides the crazy "young general" taking control

and I think he's going to follow in his father's footsteps

ps leonid probably has some experience since, you know, he's korean

Since I'm Canadian does that automatically make me correct on all matters Canadian? I hope not because that would be ****ing retarded. I obiously take Lenoid's experiance into account but the truth is nobody is 100% sure of anything that really comes out of NK. I think it may be propaganda, but from what I've seen in China it wouldn't surprize me if people were actually that upset. In NK you're born and raised taught that Kim Jong Il is some sort of deity sand should be treated as such.

of course not but I'm sure that it's different since, you know, the arctic circle doesn't have a dictator as a ruler and doesn't threaten canada's integrity

correct. but the information we have about north korea is pretty negative. unless north korea puts out all this political corruption to hide the fact that it's actually a paradise on earth

If Kim Jong Il was a power tool, he'd be Kim Jong Drill.
*resists a huge urge to repost that thread*

On the serious side, Kim Jong-Un is still young and he lived and studied in the Western world. Perhaps there's hope for that loony place indeed.

The macabre celebration of people dying, but they did [a lot of] bad things so it's okay.

Yeah and Leonid doesn't live in a country like that either.

Propaganda is brainwashing however what I'm saying is those videos might be the government producing propaganda, although I think it's still totally plausable, if not probable IMO those people are that upset.

Kim Jong Il is dead but we still have to take care of Kourtney Jong Il and Khloe Jong Il before we can rejoice.

Those who reside in Maple Syrup Land are said to always be right...

I wouldn't call it brainwashing because they never knew the difference. They were raised to think that way. Brainwashing would be (atleast, this is how I perceive it) if you use mind games to force the victim into thinking differently. Like if you told a string of lies to gain the approval from people.

That's the whole point of brainwashing: that they don't know any alternatives. Once they get old enough, they can understand alternatives but realize there is likely nothing they can get away with.

I have a membership with the DPRK (even have the card!). Does this mean my membership is in danger of being revoked??
