![]() Wasn't there some tutorial out there to make the playing field larger (More Vertical)? I vaguely remember seeing a vid on that but I feel like I really need that because I'm used to reading 50% mini on SM so these arrows look enormous at normal size.
I would use the mini option on FFR but it just a bit too small.

![]() You could just enlarge your screen, if you use a FP.Not sure if it would work just vertically.

In the editor, you can drag the receptors to the left or right out of the original play area and raise them higher, then add screencut and drag that all the way down. ![]() Last edited by Gradiant; 06-21-2016 at 11:54 PM.. |

![]() as long as there's more vertical than horizontal space, you can squish your game and give more reading space
![]() my setup currently looks like this, and the tiny extra bit of reading space is actually amazing

Wow, this totally blew my mind. I knew you could do something to make the viewable space a little longer, but I didn't realize it was literally as simple as expand the window slightly more vertically and the arrows will appear below the game screen by a bit. This could change quite a bit for me as I've always been dissatisfied with the squat aspect ratio. Thanks for the tip!

![]() I have a 1920x1080p monitor so I just put it on mini notes and make it full screen. I just change my speed from 2.9 down to 2.4 bc of the note size difference. Looks the same but much more reading space.

![]() I messed around with it a little and it is pretty handy.
I have two 1080p monitors so I stretched the window all the way across both of them then shoved the right side offscreen so that the majority of the game window was on the right monitor while leaving the judgements on the right edge of the left monitor. After moving the receptors upward and onto the left monitor, the extra vertical space allowed me to comfortably boost my speedmod from 2.65 to 2.9 which is great. The extra room ensures roughly a similar time on screen per arrow but I get the increased vertical spacing between arrows so I can actually read patterns. Thanks again!

![]() Meanwhile you could just use right scroll and flip your monitor 90 degree. It's more stable than moving stuff outside of the window as far as I tried. You can use negative receptor space to reverse left/down/up/right depending if you're using left or right scroll. So, it can simulate both downscroll and upscroll.

![]() problem with left/right is that at a certain point, you hit the bottom of the receptor spawning location, in which the notes seem to appear near the bottom of your screen, and it's pretty jarring.

![]() I'm pretty sure the same happen on up/down scroll?
You can lower the main receptors to move the respawn location out of the window to make it feel more natural. The idea was that you don't have panels in your way while you play. Edit: I cannot for the life of myself get used to this so, I guess you have a point. Last edited by Hakulyte; 06-22-2016 at 04:42 AM.. |

![]() I think with Rcubed you can even set where you want your screencut if you use a vertical scroll.

Yes, but if that isn't set, there is still a spawn point for the arrows, as you will see in the video I posted.
